If the fan was 16 I wonder if he would have offered him a night with Colleen to compensate?

Do people really rate his performances from last few games(nevermind goals) as World class?
Lately his performances have been quite poor, but the positive thing is that he's still goalscoring. Usually when he hits a bad run of form the goals dry up as well, but he's still been banging them in lately, which is a very good sign.
So, no.
Match winner.
Match winner.

He was excellent against wolves without scoring.
But yes he is having a cracking season. Not sure what else he has to do. Is it simply that as a person he is not overly likable?
We do not realise how lucky we are to have him. Would not swap him for anybody in this league
28 goals while playing behind the striker, amazing.
playing shit but still scoring goals, his passing though is horrendous.

Our best player easily but alarmed at how much his work rate has dipped.
I'm not sure what you expect from Wayne Rooney nowadays?
So he's been playing Trequartista for us this season with a goal tally of 28, having scored quite of lot of crucial big game match winners this season.Do you use Messi/Ronaldo as a yardstick of measure to rate players' performances as World Class and not-so World Class? I do not have a problem if you do but this stringent scrutiny of yours makes football and appreciating football a lot more difficult does it not ?
Because I as a fan, would be grateful about the fact that he's been incredibly consistent of late irrespective of his overall game, but I've noticed you constantly try to be 'insightful' and overly critical about a player's contribution to the game.
That's why I'm bolding "except for goals". His performances without goals are average, and that's a fact. He is doing great job for us this season, no doubt about that, but once he stops scoring and continue to put similar performances he won't be irreplaceable. But, let0s hope he will raise his game, or continue scoring like he used ths season.
yet after he went off, I felt they came back more into the match.
He is a handful. They have to beware of him.
That is his value.
He's been sloppy to the point I've been genuinely angry with him in some matches, misplacing easy passes which he should really have the ability to play properly. He was infuriating at times yesterday, after the first 20 minutes I said something along with "he's been shite so he'll probably win us the match now", which turned out to be quite correct.
No it's not.
That's your opinion.
Important difference, considering your opinion is wrong.
Now that is a fact.
@martinlaurence7: Interesting to see Wayne Rooney's mins/goal ratio is better than van Persie's. Rooney's rate also improves to just 88 mins when playing FW
For all the praise RVP has got this season, Rooney has been brilliant.
Goalscoring they've had similar output, but overall RVP leaves Rooney in the dust, for this season.
In my opinion, Rooney is the most important player for us. We've all bemoaned the midfield at some point this season, and I think the reason why we haven't addresed the issue in the transfer market is because Rooney's willingness to help out in that area has somewhat masked the problem. When we aren't in possession, we essentially are a midfield 3, with Rooney doing the energetic work that Fletcher did for us and the work that Fergie thinks Park is still capable of.
