West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester United

Its not his body its his mind I'm thinking needs work. He needs to decide when he's coming and coming, decide when he's staying and stay, dive when he wants to dive etc. He seems really, really nervous at the minute and I think if he doesn't hesitate in his mind about how to deal with Long's shot he gets down to it and makes the save simple cos for a goalie with his shot stopping ability that should be food and drink. We saw it when he made the point blank range block. When he has to rely on instinct De Gea's quality surfaces but when he's got too much time to think about what to do he gets in muddles.

Agree to a point...he just needs to play instinctively. But the confidence to do that only comes from playing regularly/constantly.

The defence has been very shaky this afternoon which can't be helping De Gea. Not defending him for the goal we conceded but the back 4 are not sending any confident messages back to him. West Brom found it too easy to get to our box far too many times in the first half.

What even Smalling?

the goalie was not at fault for the goal. if you allow premiership forwards the chance to have a free shot inside the box they should score more often that not - unless you are nani lol

evra, rafael and vidic injured, we are going to be short at the back :nervous:
