Would be lovely if he called a ge. What a legacy he'd leave behind. Gutted the party of semi decent politicians then oversaw one of their biggest election deficits before being forced out.
 
New leader and 6 months to start spinning before a GE and the Tories will recover a lot unfortunately.

Labour need to make sure all their MPs are held accountable and not just Boris.

not bad but without policy starmer is fecked and so far he has no policy. the polls just show us voter dissatisfaction. they always move when a GE is announced. and because of how england is electorally divided, labour will always need to outperform the tories to achieve a majority. i mean outperform them in the sense that winning is more difficult for them for a series of gerrymandering reasons.

no one knows what the election would be about. cost of living is the obvious one but would labour try to make it about johnson? what if johnson says he intends to serve only one or two years or if they flip it back and starmer's character crumbles in the mind of the general public. it's an absolute risk but i don't think it's the risk which the polls would have many believe. i don't think the tories are nailed on to lose by any means.

people underestimate the vast numbers of people in england for whom the question "can you define a man" will decide an entire GE. it's a massive amount of people. basically starmer is weak from the right and from the left. he'd need tory votes to win. either by low turnout, flipping them red, or getting them to vote libdem. that's easier said than done. labour are coming from a position which is weak. they'd need blair numbers for a majority and that probably won't happen.

He was babbling on about nothing to do with the MPs questions.

If they call an election I guarantee he will have policy front and foremost, as every candidate does.

sure but he's made his own rod. all the tories have to say is what about your pledges on becoming leader? you've ditched them. they'll have that aired through their normal media propaganda sources like the mail and telegraph. can starmer then be trusted to implement this new set of policies? he's absolutely weak in certain areas and could crumble. he could also win. that's the risk. remember that we were talking about starmer being ousted just a couple of days ago and it's not certain he wont be, but depends on how this pans out.

also highly probable that it turns into a "they want to destroy brexit" election. that effectively means nothing of substance but it worked many times before.
 
Johnson was always going to drag everybody to his own level come the end. A shit show that encapsulates his entire tenure and, if we’re honest, quite fitting. Bastard.

I've never seen any evidence to suggest he actually cares about the welfare of this country, he's not going to start now. Wouldn't surprise me if he's actually enjoying this.

Lies are easier to believe than the truth.
If I say “vote for and I’ll reduce taxes to 5% for everyone” and then I simply repeat that mantra whenever in on TV and pay for ads that say it all over the place, while you on the other hand try to explain why it’s not feasible and also could be detrimental to services etc after a while the majority of people will believe me.

Yes, I get your point - because people believe what they want to believe without thinking about it.
It's so frustrating that people seem to have lost the ability to think things through.
It's not even that he is or was a good liar. It is so obvious he lies almost non-stop.

The Tories should be finished after this Government. Unfortunately a few months under a new leader and little England will be giving them another majority.
