So presumably one the dist has settled he can quietly rescind his resignation?
Honestly, I've never know anything like this.
Not if he announces it as the Tory leadership contest will be underway.

Mate, he got brexit DONE. Have you not heard?
Is there a chance of Rees-Mogg becoming Prime Minister?
As much as I feel sympathy for the decent half of Britain, that would be fecking hilarious.

Or holding a a shard of glass to his own neck like that episode of black mirror. He should come out for his next public appearance bald and pretend he's always been bald
That will start to win people over
Last few pages have made for fascinating reading. Question: do your ministries not have career staff who can man them in case MPs step down?
Surely the Tories are going down at the next GE without the cult of personality that surrounds Johnson?

The Civil Service staff remain in post, but ultimate sign off and running of these departments come from assigned Ministers to each.
The agenda of each Department is driven by government policy, which again is Minister lead/communicated.

I get the same feeling of dread that it could happen that I did back 7 or 8 years ago about Boris becoming PM, so yeah, that doesn't bode well...
Except with JRM, somehow, it's an even worse outcome. I'd 'happily' keep BoJo over him.
For people like Rees-Mogg, Priti Patel and Nadine Dorries won't be part of a future government. Their careers on the front benches are over, and they know it.No chance, he won't have enough backing from the party.
He's known as The Master by the Tories. They fear him massively.i cant stand the man, but its without doubt he would wipe the floor with this current govt whether at the dispatch box or on panel shows.
