If Cleverley starts it will be 5 steps back after our two steps forward.
Who would you rather start, Fellaini or Cleverley? Considering Fellaini's performance in the first game I'm going with the latter.
You think he'd fare worse than Fellaini in the first game? Is that even possible?
None of those above please. Jones > Fletcher > Cattermole > Cleverley > Charlie Adam > Fellaini.
Big Dave
Smalling - Rio - Vidic - Evra
Kagawa - Carrick - Jones
Valencia - Rooney - Welbeck
That's quite a nice line up to be honest. Thought I'd swap in Rafael.

That is the prediction for the Bayern formation of the BILD - I guess that is just a little too offensive...

I think it will be similar. Got a feeling we will play Cleverly over Fletcher. Wouldn't mind seeing Jones play CM if Small if can play RBThats a great line-up for us, very attacking... Interesting to see if Moyes will go for that!
Not sure if he flew out but he is 100% out of the team. Went off against Newcastle feeling dizzy, hasn't recovered apparently (wtf?)So fellaini did not travel to Munich? someone please confirm
Oh, I dream! But no matter what, I think we are in for a thriller at the Arroganz arenaI can see it now.
The Rooney-Welbeck-Shinji axis of evil destroy the Dante-Boateng pairing and grab the win in Munich. We draw PSG in the semi finals and advance to the final on away goals. In the final Moyes takes off the shackles in the 50th minute resulting in a high goal thriller, with a last minute goal from Chicarito sealing the win and trophy for Manchester United.
Meanwhile Mata takes care of business in the league, ensuring a 5th place finish. Liverpool end up 4th. Hilarity ensues from all corners. Suarez fecks off to Madrid.
Dream with me.
I love these days, and I hate these days. Being at work, and then the wait for the game is excruciating. This season's been a weird ride, where I've gone from hope to despair (to use a bit of hyperbole), to apathy after the Fulham cross-fest. The hope is back. I genuinely believe that we will win tonight. This is going to be magnificent! Bring. It. On!
Disappointed Fellaini is out (genuinely... I thought despite mistakes, he upset them in the first leg).
Think our hopes may rest a lot on Welbeck. He plays out of his skin and we can hurt them.
You and many others, I'm sure.Im elated he's out. Now we have a shot actually playing 11 on 11
Really? At 0-0 we need to score one, or we go out. At 1-0 to Bayern, we need to score one, or we go out... I'm not sure there are too many occasions the opposition scoring first against us would be less significant. We need to score the 1st goal. If they score 1st, we'l need to open up a lot and the chances of conceding a 2nd increases manifold. I expect Pep to setup in a way to have plenty of the ball and frustrate us thus egging us to be more adventurous. Score once and suddenly they need to look for a goal and we can nick one on the counter. We'l definitely need to score twice today though, cant see us keeping a clean sheet.

All true. I don't think it's as imperative as it is in most big games, though, really. I'd hope, at least, that if we concede first, in the first half, we wouldn't be trying to change anything purely as a result of the goal. The longer it is at 0-0, the more nervy it becomes for them as all we need is to sneak in 1 goal. If they score 1 early on, they'l relax a lot more and make it tighter. We'd then have to not just score ourselves but also look to keep it tight at the back to not be hit on the counter by Ribery/Robben. On paper, whether it be 0-0 or 1-0, we need to score once but in reality, the dynamics are different.

But all we need after they score is still just to sneak in 1 goal? Obviously it's never good to concede the first goal, but I won't become instantly pessimistic if we do.
Fair enough. It isnt imperative, no because of the 1st leg result but an early goal for either side will considerably change the game I feel because of the psychological impact of it.
