Bayern Munich: Neuer, Dante, Ribéry, Mandzukić, Robben, Boateng, Götze, Lahm, Müller, Alaba, Kroos
Martinez does not even play in midfield for them this season. Dante is replacing his role in this game.

But wouldn't he take Scheinsteiger's postition tonight if he were available?
Agreed. An early goal for us and we're in serious business. Like our chances.
So Pep going all out withBayern Munich: Neuer, Dante, Ribéry, Mandzukić, Robben, Boateng, Götze, Lahm, Müller, Alaba, Kroos
It'll be the same as last time imoThat Bayern midfield has great technical ability and movement, but much less physical presence than usual. That might really help us when we need to keep the ball a bit.
As for the lineup, does this mean Rooney will be the no. 10 behind Welbeck? Or will it be Rooney up top with Welbeck/Kagawa/Tony behind him? The latter would make more sense I suppose.
Yep, agree in general. Some are still under more pressure than others though, Barca for example haven't been obsessed this year with the CL final / CL trophy and they haven already won 3 in the last decade, whereas RM have been talking about Decima since they hired Mourinho. They have also already reached the CL semis 4 years in a row now, so anything apart from going at least one step further this time - which means reaching the final - would be a failure. Barca however could "afford" to get out today or in the semis, if you know what I mean.
So I guess Bayern will lineup like this?
NeuerIf so, very brave from Pep. Could see Kroos as the lone DM getting taken advantage of.
Lahm Dante Boateng Alaba
Kroos
Robben Gotze Muller Ribery
Mandzukic

Normally I think the former, but given it's Robben/Ribery out wide I think he'll want Welbeck's defensive contribution over Kagawa on the flanks.
On the other hand, having a tall, athletic outlet up front to contest aerial duels and relieve pressure could be important.Normally I think the former, but given it's Robben/Ribery out wide I think he'll want Welbeck's defensive contribution over Kagawa on the flanks.
Manchester United : De Gea, Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa, WelbeckAny idea of who is on the bench for Bayern?
Jones on Ribery with Smalling at CB, provides us with a bit more pace than Rio would have given.Good line-up. Happy Fletcher starts in midfield, he's played well and his energy will be needed. I wonder if it's Smalling or Jones at RB? I'd prefer Jones.
Bayern going all for it, there will be chances on the counter and hopefully we can take them.
Raeder - van Buyten, Rafinha, Pizarro, Weiser, Hojbjerg, WeihrauchAny idea of who is on the bench for Bayern?
Götze and pressure?
