What Now For Moyes?

Could be wrong but don't think it's anymore complicated than the simple fact that Ferguson chose him, as the club felt he had earned the right to do that.
Probably right but pretty shocking decision for such a successful and lucrative business.

Of course, stupid thing to do, should have gone through the proper process and approached, and interviewed several candidates, and given it to the best man for the job, which wouldn't have been Moyes!

The great thing about football is that it is a recurring yearly tradition. Plenty of opportunity to redeem the club. SAF's legacy won't be tainted by this little indiscretion.

Yeah, among United fans.

Almost every fan, of every other team I know, or have came across on the net, have all said he left us in a shocking state.

To some extent this season will prove if that is really true. If it's another horror show then Fergie's interference will be regarded as destructive.

Yeah, how dare he leaving us as the Champions of premierleague, it would be much better if we finished in 7th place in his last season so we all could realise how shit this team is.

Well he left us without a midfield besides Michael Carrick. That's about it but it's not the best squad to leave behind.

Still, I thought all the opposition fans knew it was Moyes all along? I thought we were the dumb ones believing in him at the start? I'm confused now.

That is bull shit. Every fan I know thinks the exact opposite

Midfield was the only issue. Moyes was given an unbelievable opportunity. He fecked it up end of story

Oh....You personally know every person I know and watch football with? And you sit with me, while I surf the net and read up on football forums?!

I'm not the one saying it! I'm just saying it as I know it.

Want proof?! The latest one is Celtic. Go onto their forum and you'll see a big thread saying that their current situation is a "David Moyes one"
They then go on to say that their manager left them a sack of shit and for the new guy to sort. "The same thing that Ferguson done with United."

I know Moyes messed it up! But to suggest that non United fans think that is insane. It's all out there for you and others to read.

I don't really care. It's not my opinion. I'm just saying what others think and the other side of the coin

I'll give you every finger on my foot for how much I care what other fans think about United/SAF.

It still doesn't take away from his achievements though. He thought Moyes was the man, he thought wrong. These things happen.

Pics please....I could make a fortune

Here you go, this is all the shits I give about opposition fans opinions on United. :smirk:

Ogden pretty much said on United in Press yesterday that they blamed Woodward for the ineptitude of last summer and went easy on Moyes. Until that Daniel Taylor article after the Fulham 'death by crosses' game there wasn't really any criticism for him yet everyone, including our own fans, wanted to throw our players, who have spent their careers fighting and winning in a United shirt, under the bus.

It's so much easier to assess his performance now. Last season, it was difficult to comprehend just how poor he was in every facet of the job. He had to repeatedly and blatantly piss on his own shoes before anyone would break ranks and call him what he really was.

When United almost had the pick of world football why did they have to take that kind of gamble? Of course nothing is guaranteed but there's rolling the dice and then there's making an informed and educated punt - why didn't United opt for the latter?

Barca could probably bring in any manager but, with their last 5 managerial hires they have not gone for highly proven managers.

Nobody knows, there were rumours that Fergie wanted Ancelotti.

Nope.

Thats one of the myth created to make sense of moyes performance by some of our blind faithed fans who refuse to accept a simplet fact that moyes is indeed shite

It's true though. It's all out there. People do think it.

For the record, I hate Moyes and was probably the most vocal, out spoken, poster against him, from day one.

We're crocked in the middle. But far from disaster, thw indisputable fact stated in history is that we walked the league with 11pts spare that season under saf.

The rest is subjective

It really wasn't, for some reason it just seemed to be a frowned upon thing on here, yet it was fair game to slate the players endlessly. On one hand you had players who had given everything and won lots here in their careers, and on the other, a manager who has never been a winner and was clearly out of his depth at this level, yet somehow it was ok to decide that the players had all become completely shite in the course of a few months, rather than assume the manager didn't know how to get the best out of them.
A certain twat I have on block was on here telling other posters to "feck off and go support Chelsea" if they dared to criticise Moyes. I hope he fecks off to support Moyes next team, wherever he may go.

That's just fecking bull crap. All my non-United supporters friends thought Moyes had fecked us up.

He did but who appointed him? There's a pretty broad sway of opinion that considers Fergie responsible for an odd appointment.

I really can't wait to see where this jackass is going to get his next job because I will relish the dog's abuse he will get the next time he brings his ass to Old Trafford. That will be the people's appreciation of his tenure.

Yeah... That won't happen.

Yeah... That won't happen.

Ah, c'mon. Matchgoers at Old Trafford have given quite the rough ride to a few opposition managers before, no? I sure remember when Wenger and Mourinho got their dose in the past for various reasons.

Yeah but they never managed here. The reaction to Moyes will be civil I'm guessing.

Will Moyes take over from Pulis at Palace? Their have identical footballing styles and are both masters with small teams whose main tactic is to park the bus and have a giant up front and try and get a goal on the break though a cross or though a set piece
Moyes must be licking his chops at the prospect of redeeming his shattered reputation. If Moyes takes the job then that's curtains for Zaha's move there

No chance of Moyes taking over at Palace he has ideas above his station of managing a Champions League team :wenger:.

Moyes really damaged his reputation by dragging us down to seventh along with the manner in which he did so. I mean, aspiring to be at City's level? No way any club with regular Champions League football would entertain that kind of mentality

And the worst part is that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Didn't City win the league? Didn't Gary Neville and Fergie say that we aspired to Chelsea's level in the mid-noughties when they were dominating? You aim to be the best and that's what he (said he) was doing.

The Moyes-hate is terrible.

Honestly can't wait for Rio's autobiography. I reckon he's gonna bury Moyes.

Rio was a sham of a professional during that period. If he was a world-class player trying to lead the team, there might be some merit in doing what he did, but he was miles past his best and should've put his shoulder to the wheel. cnutish behaviour from him and I'm glad he's gone.

He was the manager of the league champions. He dragged us down to that level and then while we were there he claimed he'd like to be at the level of our City rivals.

If you can't see how shit that was...

He wasn't alone in doing that. The players were culpable too. Any club, if everyone points the one direction, will work better than lads going every which way. Rio shite-ing on about shit on Twitter should not have happened. The dressing-room should be a black hole of information, where nothing gets out. You think he had a full career ahead of him to worry about, not someone at the tail-end of one.

If he wasn't good enough, he wasn't. What happened wasn't by design/on purpose. Why posters are denigrating him to such an extent does not befit a 'classy' club like Man United. At worst, it was a mistake.....we thank him for his efforts and move on. There is gravel in a lot of the comments.

That may be true but your comments on Ferdinand seem to have an equal amount of sting in them, so far you have called him a sham of a professional and cnutish thats your opinion of him and you are entitled to it, but thats hardly 'classy' either.

Unlike Moyes Rio actually was world class and a great servant to United for over a decade, that was easily forgotten by some once his legs went.

Moyes was a useless clown who did real damage in his short time at United he deserves all the stick he gets on here, in fact he probably doesn't get enough. He really did a number on some who against all logic still try to defend his tenure at United.
