Guardiola insults medical staff | Medical team resigns

That picture is from Budapest. Or am I missing the joke again?

Dr. Volker Braun will take over from Müller-Wohlfahrt for now. He already worked for our 2nd team for some years. The club will look for a permanent solution in the near future.

Found this in a Bayern forum.

Well 12/13 and 13/14 you can probably subtract 3-4% just for Badstuber alone, who missed the last month of 2012, the whole year of 2013, more than half of 2014. Due to his lack of match fitness contributed to 14/15 as well. They had a lot of bad luck this season with freak accidents like Lahm, Martinez and Alaba plus Schweinsteiger is basically permanently injured at this stage. I doubt he´s ever been pain free over the last 3-4 years.

Pathetic.

Guardiola or not, if he was a manager of my team, he'd be sacked next morning.

It's unforgivable to mock a club legend, especially in public during the game.

I agree it's bad behaviour but it's easier to replace a doctor than a world class manager. "Legend" or not, "helping Usain Bolt" marketing stuff or not, he's not some miracle working Voodoo shaman with medical knowledge that no one else possesses. Bayern's medical record should be proof enough.

Apparently Moyes wasn't supposed to bring Everton with him. But yeah if that's true United missed Guardiola stupidly.

That was one of the rumours doing the rounds last year when Davey boy got the boot, supposedly Moyes had promised Ferguson he would keep all the current coaches in place but he then went back on his word and sacked them anyway.

That would sort of fit with the story you mentioned from Auclair about Guardiola wanting to bring his own staff also. Maybe a big part of Ferguson's succession planning was someone willing to take his staff on, which if true was misguided to say the least.

Find it weird that this video comes out now when the game happened a couple of weeks ago or so. Bayern have played 2/3 times since that Leverkusen game.

Unprofessional from Guardiola, just seemed the frustration got to his head.

Is it Pep-hate week?

Where is the doctor? Huh?

People need to get their facts straight instead of attacking him based on an unclear vine that doesn't even show the whole bench.

Also this:

A couple of things.

.His not Pep's medical team, he's Bayren and as already said in this thread Bayren said no to Pep when he wanted to bring in his own medical team. Also this could just be me being to used to the 'Fergie' way of management but it just seem odd for a coach to not be able to bring in his own medical team.

.While the guy might be one of the best around, he's also got some very weird ideas(The Homeopathy) as already mentioned in this thread.

.With that in mind you can see why Pep might struggle with control knowing that someone on his medical team thinks smearing honey onto people does something other than making them sticky and delicious. Especially during a injury crisis.

.Pretty simple one this but PRESSURE.

Also I don't get the Barca stuff is nonsense.

It may come back to bite him in the arse. If they go through in the CL and meet Barca that would be a genius move.

Mourinho eye gouged a rival manager, stomped Cesc when he was downed after a tackle, made gestures towards Messi and Alves indicating they smelled bad and a long etc. yet you can't see him doing something like that
All the people you listed are rivals. He also will have a pop at players who don't follow his instructions or adhere to his discipline.

His own staff? Not a chance in hell. They are an extension of him. He chooses them, he is ultimately responsible, end of.

He also came through the coaching ranks so he knows exactly how to act with regards to staff and that humiliating them isn't good policy.

Actually it´s probably easier to replace the coach, when you are Bayern Munich. I doubt a world class medical staff (say from New York City), while move their whole base of operations to Munich just to treat 24 people. A manager will be moved easily, cause that´s part of his job description. Besides Guardiola hasn´t done anything amazing with Bayern Munich so far. His whole success is based on dominating inferior small clubs in Germany. They haven´t been convincing against the top teams they faced all year.

Sorry to dissappoint you guys but it seems people just want to believe what they WANT to believe based on a small clip but Pep does even not seem to be looking at Dr. Han-Wilhelm Muller. Over the years i have notice Pep is one of those coaches who is highly animated on the touchline. His body language can be highly comical at times. He was probably just bemoaning his luck or tactics to his coaches, just like LVG was shouting at Giggs.

Dr. Muller has long hair and looks like this.

These are his assistant coaches Germant and Torrent. The bald guy is obviously ex Germany internationl Sammer who is their sporting director.

Who is he clapping at? Certainly not his medical staff i don't think so!

Get out with your common sense!

For being such a "renowned" doctor how come he hasn't published any peer-reviewed studies? Has he published anything related to the treatments he's practising?

Oh and yeah being into homoeopathy is a big warning sign.

Ok, so it wasn't exactly "in your face" as it initially looked. Hard to see it as other than sarcastic critique of medical decisions though.

You could say the Bayern doctor isn't part of Guardiola's staff and he didn't chose him. Guardiola also came through the coaching ranks.

Also, Mourinho had Valdano fired from Madrid, had Casillas publicly humiliated and almost destroyed his career and had many other episodes with madrid players.

They are both proper cnuts and I find those distinctions nonsense. Like it's any kind of acceptable to eye gouge a rival manager or stomp a rival player because he's not part of your staff or your team. Come on.

Well that makes this more confusing. Need to wait for more contret information, really.

We should sign him up, I think it's our most important transfer right now.

Actually is not confusing. The relationship between Guardiola and the doctor is the topic since the begin of his time at Bayern.
Rummenigge maybe did the mistake to take sides...

Pep losing it. The injuries have really done him and his idea of football this time. I think parting ways at the end of the season is best for both Bayern and him.

Why not let guaridola bring in/put together his own medical team?

Seems a bit knee jerk. Why would that be the best for both parties when they're winning league titles?

MW has done miracles with some players like Robben. He has a deep relationship with most of the players - they trust him. Even with a new doctor at Bayern they still will go to Müller-Wohlfahrt.

Klinsmann installed a "new" doctor... He did not get many visits...

Pep is going mental.
On Bayern side, they gave him the treble winning side and it got battered by Real Madrid last season in the CL and it's looking like it's going to happen again this season. They gave him the money to buy the players he asked for, let him sell the players he didn't like and it's not working.

Yet we still want to give him a contract extension and hope he stays for more than just one more year. Clearly we don't know what we're doing :nervous:
