Bundesliga 2015/2016

Argh, Hofmann is sadly a clear downgrade to Reus in these type of games.

Hofmann's efficiency (in relation to his abilites) is really incredible.

Great defending from Chicharito.

Book him Ayketin! Hakan being his usual despicable self.

Sokratis - Chicha is a hilarious duel

Dortmund's passing seems unusally sloppy, they are allowing Leverkusen to gain confidence/control.

77% pass success according to whoscored. That's probably an all season low.

Thats partly credit to Leverkusen´s positioning, though. They close down the easier passing options very well. We still control the game reasonably well and the Leverkusen players exhaust themselves by moving all over the pitch. Given that we can throw in both Reus and Januzaj in the second half, it is an outcome I can live with.

They just play so many passes that are obviously going to get intercepted. Dortmund is lucky that Leverkusen is so impotent on the ball.

Yeah, agree with Sphaero here. It's not easy to keep the ball well against Leverkusen's chaos pressing. It'll be different towards the end of the game though, but most likely both teams will get tired after the games in Europe midweek.

Of course Leverkusen's pressing plays a big role here. But look at Gündogan for example, he's usually a clean passer and he has the tools to deal with opponents charging at him, yet his passing is 50% in the last 20 minutes of the half.

True, Dortmund looked a lot more sloppy after the goal. Not all of it is because of Leverkusen's pressing.

Yeah, that is the whole idea behind Leverkusen´s approach: to provoke errors. Holding onto the ball or passing it around the defense is risky with their strengths on the break. Gündogan not being at his best is also part of it, though. Worst player of us in the first half.

With the difference that we have a well rested Reus on the bench, who could rip them apart with the space he will have at the end.

What the feck is Schmidt doing? Those subs are crazy.

Was that a penalty for Leverkusen too? Reif was very sure about it, but to me it seems like a 50/50 decision.

Was a clear push, a light one but that can be enough on that pace. At least Ayketin is imcompetent in general and not towards one team.

We passed them to death

Sliced open with a great combination.

Januzaj coming on.

Bürki with his strongest perfomance in black and yellow.

Looks like Januzaj is acutally playing as #9 and Aubameyang took Hofmann's spot.

Schoolboy defending..

I don´t see it as that rigid in terms of positioning. They change frequently.

Yes, but you can see Aubameyang very frequently on the right and against the Ball it's also quite clear.

Auba is such a consistent pen taker and he is just our Nr. 2 after Reus

Dortmund really start to annoy me. Why do they have to score so fecking many all the time. We can't even dominate the goal difference ffs

Did you not just say yesterday, that you would want a close title race ;)

What is wrong with Tah? I didn't even need a replay to see Januzaj's jersey getting stretched..

Castro hits the post.. that would have rounded off the day for Leverkusen..

Weigl needs a break in the upcoming game vs. Hoffenheim. He looks really tired for a while now. That he was not subbed off is also a clear sign for that.

Hummels really ranges between world class and 2nd league level in his performances. Incredible performance today.

Dortmund with 18 goals now.. last season it took them 17 games to reach that mark
