James Wilson | On Loan to Brighton and Hove Albion

Delighted for him, I really hope he makes it at United.

A bit silly that we've loaned him considering our lack of depth, but I am glad that his loan move is paying off so far.

I think whether we lack depth or not the loan move was a great idea for the club and for Wilson. At his age he needs proper competitive game time, and that's exactly what he's getting in the Championship with Brighton.

True, when you're that young you do need game time. And the Championship is a perfect level for a player like Wilson, I expect him to continue to do well for them.

So what, we've got a major injury crisis and we're desperately short of striking options. He's needed.

He's currently not fit with our style of play.He needs to improve his dealing with high ball and better his decision making while running with the ball. (I'm watching Brighton right now)

No it's better for us and him long-term that he stays. We knew about the paucity of options when we loaned him. Memphis will be up top if needed.

2 weeks back most on here were sure he wasn't even going to make it here. Now it's bring him back?

He really is doing well, hit the post in his first game off the bench. Now 2 in 2 starts, hope he keeps it up and gets to double figures for the season

Considering he scored 1 and got another good chance in a poorest half I've seen from Brighton I'd say it's not that hard to reach double figures, injury permitted.

to those saying he isnt an lvg player, lvg speaks highly of both him and januzaj. Just says they needed games week in/week out to enhance therw development. He says they're for the future though.

Really feel like junzaj should of gone to a side like anderletch or ajax this season, way to ambitious.

Hopefully Brighton do come up and we can send him back out to them to get consistent premier league football.

A player of his age learns nothing from the bench no matter what some on here may argue.

As I called it, he is already on his way to bagging loads of goals. The lad just has that special something. He really needed this loan though, he has got a lot of little deficiencies in his game that can only be ironed out with some proper game time. He is very raw and I expect a good run of games will go a long way to improving that. I hope he comes up against some teams that park the bus because he has struggled with that and it would be good for the experience. His pace, dribbling and finishing are just so good that if he can put it all together he will be a real star.

I'm high on James Wilson, he's better than cocaine. Injury permitting, I can't see him not being good enough to play for us, at least as a super sub.

Are they the same people? How many actually said he couldn't make it here?
Right? Posts like those really grind my gears. Yes, some people did say he wouldn't make it. Yes, some people are saying bring him back. I suspect they aren't the same posters

Assistant coaches: "Louis, James Wilson is scoring goals in training, what should we do?"

LVG: "UNACCEPTABLE!!! Send him out on loan!"

Watch us recall him, only for Van Gaal to use him twice and put him back in the reserves

He's still finding his game at senior level, makes far more sense for him to be doing it outside the glare of negativity of United at present. Looks like Brighton is a good fit and playing alongside someone with the experience of Zamora will be a great help.

Aye. Ridiculous we waited this long to get him some football really. He's been crying out for it for 18 months.
