I was wondering how ehsanul was going to spin the recent reports. Tancredi is just listing his own opinions, he doesn't know any more tha anyone else.
I hear you. It's getting tiring watching people panic every time Madrid are mentioned.
Yeah I think you're spot on with this.I think Juve are using Italian journos to show that are putting up a fight, but in reality they are happy to sell, hence DiMarzio getting Andre Gomez info wrong, Juve probably fed him it to suit their narrative.
Here we go again. Joy late night, negativity through the day. Its like a vicious circle, just like all the failed transfers go.

I haven't read the debate but for me the whole stuff such as "X player is more marketable and therefore higher value" is rubbish (except when the said player is from a relatively untapped market, say like Kagawa or a Chinese/Indian player). As you said, the pure marketing value of a player is minuscule compared to the overall spending on the player. So if I am getting a player who is demonstrably better than another at the same price, I buy the first player regardless of any other consideration.
For any top tier club such as ours, winning trophies consistently is much more valuable than anything else. From a pure financial perspective, the revenue growth potential of a winner club over time is much higher than another top club, which say, qualifies for CL every year. And therefore any top player that will help in winning trophies would always command a premium valuation commensurate to the growth potential.
As an example, if we consider Cantona to be a key factor in our success in early nineties that allowed us to create a gap between us and Liverpool, how much value would we subscribe to him going back? I would say he would be immensely valuable (in 1990s prices of course) irrespective of his marketing potential.
I'd say it's due to the past history of Madrid wanting someone and getting them without trouble. Why are people choosing to believe Big Tanc and AS over the Di Marzio crew, who say that whilst Madrid may be interested, they can't afford it?
I thought Di Marzio et all were considered way more reliable than the Tanc.
With all due respect, feck off.
This. Well put and I think you're spot on RE: Scholes and co.

They see Madrids name mentioned against a player who we're after, and start to panic. After Vidal, Thiago, Sneijder etc, muppets have become fragile
Looks like Zidane has confirmed Pogba interest, dont think we will be able to sign him now.We should have closed the deal ages ago, same old Mr Woodward.
Mediaset are reporting Juventus board think that Madrid will make a counter offer for Pogba.I guess the deal is evenly poised.
Barca have signed Gomez,so does it bring Madrid back in the contention for Pogba? I hope not.
Can anyone fill me with optimism.Looks like we are about to lose out on another player to Madrid.
Mate El Confidential has written in their newspaper that Zidane and Pogba got in touch last night. They say Pogba is more inclined to join Madrid.

Onda Cero are speculating whether or not the failure to sign André Gomes now "activates the Pogba option" for Real Madrid. Might go back in.

So @tancredipalmeri on @talkSPORTLive says #RMCF are going big for #Pogba
A poster said this is what he said.I hope this is not true.
According to Tancredi and Spanish press Madrid are back in for Pogba. If Madrid are back in then we know how it will end up.
Odd that you think he is spot on with that speculative post when he conveniently omits that :
- Pogba was totally over-run and looked clueless in the few matches he was handed game time (which were against rather poor opposition)
- That the Pogba that plays/played at Juve does not play in Scholes or Carricks position.
- That season we were in a tight title race that we ended up losing, Would you give a young player that previously showed he couldn't cope against poor opposition game time? (The drawback being totally crushing his confidence, because he'd have got abuse if he played like he did in his first games, and he'd have been hooked too).
But for some it is an agenda, whereas proof was in the pudding. The funny thing is that the Euro's proved he still can't play in central midfield.
IMO it's definitely true. They don't have any other black players on the current roster. No chance does he want a black man being their record signing IMO.Santos Marquez(Eto'o and Makalele's agent) said in the past that Perez didn't like black players. It may be because he was bitter, but who knows, it could be true
you have to give the guy credit for consistency tbf
Marcelo isn't an african - that's what I meant. Adebayor a short term loan, Lass got rid off, Drenthe not good enough got rid off. Perez isn't the chairman every time rememeber. Other players can be signed by Valeron.Marcelo? Previously, Drenthe, Lass, Adebayor.

I thought Tancredi was on the run with that guy with all the tattoos who broke out of prison. Why would she know anything about the Pogba deal?

Seems like this summer things aren't going as smoothly as they'd like.Guess they weren't paying attention this summer then. We've already beaten them for 1 player, De Gea.. All year we heard how he was definitely off to Madrid this summer.
Good post. Likely to fall on deaf ears. You know times are desperate when people buy into Donaldish's....oops...devilish's hate filled tin foil bollocks.
Drenthe, Marcelo and Lassana were not signed under Perez.Marcelo? Previously, Drenthe, Lass, Adebayor.
Quick question. why are people so sure his preference is Madrid? Is it just because they are not United?
As far as i'm aware, he was pretty close to signing for Barcelona last year but the ban and figures involved stopped the move. Now a year later and he loves Madrid and would only join us cos of money?
Marcelo? Previously, Drenthe, Lass, Adebayor.
It is very odd that they managed to fit his entire career from the day he left United until now in one threadhttp://www.juventuz.com/threads/34761-Paul-Pogba/page1621
Pretty much the last 5 pages of the juventuz forum have been Raiola bashing, you'd have thought making 100m profit on one player would have been enough to show a bit of appreciation...
