Premier League matchweek 36 (may 5th-may 10th)

:D My man gets it.
If Southampton bring on Shane Long, I can see him causing problems to you guys. With more attack-minded midfielders in your side, you guys will be more open to counters, and Long's great at those, so it's essentially picking your poison right there.

Dreadful half of football. Liverpool have so many average players and their best attacking players are wildly inconsistent.

Remember when Souness before the game was mentioning how he wouldn't be happy if he was a United fan because of how "dull" we are?

So Graeme, what are your thoughts on Liverpool's performance so far?

Souness at HT: Dull.

Can you really spend £150m when you have so much money going to wages?

We've renewed a fair few contracts recently whereas a lot of Arsenals are in their last 12 months. Plus im pretty sure most of City's wages go to a holding company which negates the effect.

Nonetheless we need to stop giving huge contracts to the likes of Mignolet etc and refusing to give top wages to players coming in off the bat. But yeah we really should have that much to spend.

Seems like Klopp played for a 0-0 half time (or another wonder goal) to put all his eggs in the second half. Lallana obviously isn't ready for a full match so didn't want him using his legs up while Southampton players were fresh. Will need him, Sturridge and either TAA or Moreno on in the 2nd half pretty quickly. Just some pace ffs.

Lallana has been warming up since the start of the game. He has to be ready by now, right?

This boufal player for Southampton is rubbish. He's their record signing as well

If we're 4th and Liverpool/City end up being 5th and we win the Europa, are they in the CL ?

No. You enter CL on merit.

So Liverpool fans are not arsed about winning the league now? Ok mate.
Of course I want Liverpool to do well, but it's not depressing that they don't. It's just a sport and it's supposed to be fun.

Do you think fans of clubs like West Ham and Newcastle find supporters their clubs depressing? If United went the next 10 years without winning anything you're telling me you'd find supporting them depressing?

The nerve of Klopp to complain about that.

I sure as feck wouldn't get anywhere near this place. That would be depressing.

Want to watch it but last two Liverpool games i tuned in to they scored immediately. Against Bournemouth i switched off when they were winning and that ended in a draw. I'll take one for the team.

Of course not, stop overreacting. I said it its a 'depressing thought' for Liverpool fans that you wont win the league anytime soon whilst your rivals, including clubs your traditionally much bigger and and more successful than, will. This is the truth for all the scouse fans I know.

Are the expectations of West ham and Newcastle fans of their clubs the same as Liverpool? I don't think they are.

Liverpool are too central. Coutinho's drifting inside too early, and it's leaving Milner isolated. With Lallana, he and Coutinho can at least rotate their positions and keep Southampton guessing.

Southampton need to consider bringing on Redmond as well. Boufal's been quite poor the few times he was on the ball. His poor decision-making will always be a hindrance for Southampton when they attack.
