I really don't like this rule. You can't pass to yourself which I imagine is intended to stop players fooling the ref (edit: meant keeper) in some way, but this is purely accidental. But them's the rules I guess, so the ref did well here. I always though an infringement of the team taking the penalty resulted in a retake in case of a converted penalty however. Should look that up, but it seems unlikely the ref would miss that.

Can you imagine a ref giving that against Aguero? I can't.

Yeah I think its better if Arse make top 4 than Liverpool.

1) It's funny when Liverpool feck up
2) Arsene will probably keep his job
3) There's a potential scenario where we make CL and Liverpool don't

While it was definitely time for Arsenal to fail, them pipping Liverpool would be funnier.
After all, we know Wenger is no threat to anyone, while Klopp may, just may be able to polish the crapper elements out of his squad, while keeping the style that ruined a lot of top teams.

However, we've been suspecting Liverpool will get top 4 all season, so Arsenal not doing so will still be enjoyable.

ALl with the caveat that we win our cup

Unfortunately, I sense that players when they know for sure they're going to the Championship have more motivation to play well, in order to be picked up by a Premier League next season and avoid personal relegation, than the collective destiny of the team or club, hence the Sunderland win last week and why probably Swansea will have it harder today than if Sunderland was still on the fight.

They really don't want to let that potentially offside goal go do they? Someone tell Sky we won.

It was an offside.

Deal with it. We've had our offside goals being a theme for three weeks running from the media after they've happened.

On purely regional grounds, it would be preferable to dispense with a London club in Palace and retain some Welsh and Yorkshire representation in the Premier League.

I think lack of CL will also may also mean Liverpool could fail to attract certain targets, add in Thursday and Sunday fixtures every few weeks it should mean they cannot play their gegenpressing style of football so often.

Encroaching happens all the time. It's time for the ref association to announce that from next season they will act upon it like the rule states to.

No it wasn't. It was even close to the line. The replay they just showed makes it obvious that there was a good foot or so between the incident and the line.

We aren't all blind, trust me. I suggest that you have another look.

"I suggest you have another look"

Did that come off the back of his head this time? After his shoulder last week
Doesn't matter just get something on the ball, even if you know sod all about it. Their last game is at home to WBA, Palace at us. Unless Hull beat Palace tomorrow think Hull will be gone.

That other City penalty fail Quinn mentioned is at 1:50. Only one replay and it's not great tbh. The commentator doesn't notice.

"as cool as you like"

incredible commentary!

I think its like three saturday's in a row where Saturday football has been....well.....so uninteresting...

Sport is getting saturated and ruined by television.

Southampton score at Boro'. Rodriguez. Sacked the manager and have forgotten how to defend and still don't score goals.

Really, really need Crystal Palace not to lose vs Hull tomorrow or we're dragged right into the "can't play a weakened team" row next weekend.

According to the BBC live updates, Sunderland fans are leaving and there is also a chant of 'we want Moyes Out'
