Kill the party? You know I have some sympathy (not a lot, but some) for the argument that opposing Brexit would have been politically perilous. I think there’s a stronger counter argument, but at least I see where people are coming from.
But Labour aren’t just not opposing Brexit. They’re being told they have to abstain on votes that have no effect on Brexit actually happening, but that just force a softer Brexit. So what are we supposed to think, when Labour appear to be just as eager as the Tories to slam shut the doors and push us into what increasingly looks like being the hardest possible of Brexits?
