Internationals March (Euro Qualifiers + Friendlies)

We would have lost this 6-0 a couple of years ago so I guess there's some progress at least.

Some progress ? A lot of progress I would say….

To be quite honest - I don't really care too much about the results in this qualifier - I still think its too early for us. So I just want to see progress so we can get to the Euros through the Nations League qualifier. Please God - let Serbia qualify from this, and we should actually be favourites from that Group.

Italy 2-0 on Finland with 2 good goals, the young starlets Barella and Kean already leaving their mark.

Solid win, despite an average second half. But Finland barely threatened us so the win was never in doubt.

Nice to see Moise Kean starting and scoring for Italy. He impressed me last season for Verona. Obviously tough to get games for Juventus with who they have upfront but promising striker for sure.

Only just turned 19 so plenty of time in his career.

He should play more, Mandzukic has been in bad form since getting injured and they could do with a different option.

Kean has played well everytime he got the chance, got play time against Atletico, now scored his first goal for Italy... it took a while but he's definitely made his mark. Should get a lot more minutes from now on.

No no;)
First half was absolutely dreadful. Slow and sloppy, Xhaka at his worst. We changed the formation at halftime and played a lot better and deserved the win. Could have been 3 or even 4. Georgia are absolut shit. But its not an easy game away in Tiflis. Ireland and Denmark also wont have the three points for free over there.
:)
Fair point. Forgot about Finland having a good Nations League campaign and us being very poor upfront. Still expect to win though.
:)

Don't know if we have a thread on youth national teams but Iceland U17 drew 3-3 against Germany in the Euro qualifications. Andri Lucas Guðjohnsen with a hat trick (plays for Real Madrid).

Several polish players have suffered from a virus, including Milik and Piatek. Fabian Ruiz is also sick due to swine flu.

No shock result.....all german youth teams aren't really good.....Iceland's team was on the paper on nearly the same level.

Their U17 team has two quality youngsters (Karim Adeyemi and Luca Netz), 2-3 other good players and the rest is just totally average.

Results of the german youth teams in March
U21: France 2-2
U20: Portugal 1-0
U19: Croatia 2-1 - Norway 0-1
U18: France 0-1 - France 1-2
U17: Belarus 1-1 - Iceland 3-3
U16: Slovenia 1-2 - Italy 0-2

Wales play with an enjoyable level of freedom. It is erratic, as it will be with a lot of young players chucked in but decent to watch when it is flowing.

Nothing annoys me more when players call for the ball like that then don't even hit the target.

We play Slovakia every year and they're always tough opponents so this would be a very good result for Wales if they hold on.
