Bitter
You cant appeal 2 yellow cards.
either way what he got sent of for was a joke, he did not do anything wrong. He did not stamp or kick anyone. Theres no way on earth he should get a 3 or 4 match ban for that

Where did you hear that?

As i understand it he got a straight red card for what was deemed violent conduct which comes automatically with a 3 game ban, if City are appealing then you'll have to convince the panel it was not violent conduct and seeing the images again it seems impossible to tell really, his foot does swing towards the west brom player, whether City can prove it was accidental is highly debatable.
If the appeals deemed frivolous i assume like with us and Ferdinand last season they'll add to the ban meaning 4 gams out.
come on mate fairs fair. Huddlestone stood on a player yesterday and not even a yellow. Balotelli did absolutely nothing wrong there. If it was a united player then you would be pissed. He won't win any appela, you know that as much as I do so it looks like a 4 game ban for that, its a joke to be honest. I still think City will win with or without Balotelli
My point is can City prove conclusively the decision was a wrong one? to win the appeal that's whats got to happen, who knows i don't sit on the panel
For what its worth we had the same situation with Ferdinand last season, he was being grabbed by Some shitty hull striker who's name escapes me and tried to fend him off, not even looking at him and caught his face, he got a 3 game ban for violent conduct which was extended to 4 after we appealed, ridiculous decision but there you go.
yeah I remember that, did he not get to play in the derby though as United appealed?
Was never a sending of that today. If the ref thinks hes stamped on him from the angle he seen it then thats fair enough but when he watches the video evidence then he should do the decent thing and rescind it

Thats why i was a bit surprised when phelanshorts said a decision will be made on Tuesday, last season when we appealed it allowed Ferdinand to play in the midweek cup game that just so happened to be against your lot and the hearing was held on the friday, i assumed if City appealed the same would happen and Balotelli would be able to play on wednesday.
Not sure who all the process works to be honest, its a fecked up system from back to front.
I'm sure Balotelli's sending off was a result of two yellows, that's what someone on Sky said, was it not?
Huddlestone should be taken to task for that challenge.
Balotelli's foot did swing towards the opposition player. It's difficult to say if there was any intent of hurting the player. At most it's worth a yellow. Would be harsh if he's given a 4 game ban.
He was shown direct red.
I couldn't give a toss if Balotelli plays or not, if I'm honest. If it was Tevez though...
Going to be a tough game, no doubt. But if Mancini decides to go with the 3 holding players in De Jong, Barry and Yaya... can see us winning it without too much trouble. If they go for a more attacking formation, such as:
..............Tevez
Silva, Milner, Balotelli*, Johnson
...............yaya
It'll be a bit more difficult, but still think we will win.
* - if appeal wins, etc etc.
De Jong and Yaya will absolutely murder united midfield. Also if Nani does not play then it will play right into citys hand with park coming inside. I expect city to dominate the midfield and play like they did against chelsea, United are not as strong in the middle as Chelsea nor are united as quick, powerful or tricky as Chelsea up front.
Yes its a derby and strange things happen but I think City will overpower united and come of winners

United are rarely dominated in midfield, not even by Chelsea.
You're under-rating us massively.

Paul Scholes is a class act, there no doubt about that and if City can stop him getting on the ball then that will go a long way to stopping united especially if Nani is missing. Carrick and Fletcher will get out muscled totally of yaya and De Jong imo. Have seen Fletcher against De Jong a few times now and De Jong really has come out on top in their persoanl duel. Carrick is just shit with no bottle.
Scholes and Giggs are key for united still. These are the 2 players I am worried about on Uniteds team. It really could get very congested in the middle of the park if no team plays with any natural wingers.
Park is a bit of a worry as hes very under rated by a lot of people and I think he could give Zabaletta a few problems.
All in all I think the key areas of the whole match is how City tackle Scholes and how United go about stopping Silva. Who ever has the better match out of Silva and Scholes will determine which side comes out on top
Now yes I am biased in Citys favour and I am a fan not a football expert but imo this is the worse United team in a long while where as this is the strongest City team in my lifetime. Given everything and it being at home then I think City will win this

Have De Jong and Yaya dominated anyone in midfield? think your setting yourself up for a major dissapointment if your banking on beating us in midfield with those players, De Jongs a glorified hacker, hes not a possession footballer hes a 'destroyer', Toures by many city fans accounts been very disappointing up until now and Barrys well not very good, your midfield doesn't have anyone who youd really class as a possession footballer, you've a midfield of runners kickers blockers etc basically anti footballers, not much skill or guile in there, it doesn't have anyone of the class and ability of Scholes who if he gets on the ball just as he did in this fixutre last season will give you the run around all evening, Carricks getting back to some sort of form and is easily a better player than Barry and Fletcher is more than capable of handling de jong, id definitely back a Scholes/Carrick/Fletcher trio if fit to deal with a Barry/De Jong/Toure one.
If your to beat us it will have to be from wide, getting in one on one situations with our full backs even then i don't fancy you to get much joy, whilst Ferdinand and Vidic will nine times out of ten pocket Tevez.
If we've anything like our best team out i expect us to beat you again like last season, if we've got the injuries and unavailabilities that are reported it'll probably be a 0-0 1-1, dont think your teams anything like as good as you'd have us believe, recent weeks have shown that quite conclusively.
And yet your still below us in the league, and have lost 5 times already this season whilst we're unbeaten in 24.
Says a lot really.
It's baffling, really. Can't see Fletcher, Scholes and Carrick getting dominated by the likes of Barry and kung-De Jong
Will they dominate us like they dominated Wolves? Or the Polish team in the Polish relegation zone? I hope so!
Please go watch the derby last year from Coms and the Scotland vs Holland match. De Jong won every tackle against Fletcher and totally dominated him, I fely sorry for Fletcher afyer a bit. Yaya has had a slowish start but hes still a better player than Carrick or Fletcher could ever wish to be.
Scholes is class but we have David Silva as the man playing the creative role. I am not stupid enough to pretend Silva is better than Scholes as he is not but he has enough quality to do united damage.
City still have a long way to go, we are far from the finished article but we are a lot better than you have given us credit for
Am I the only one who is getting exhausted by NHD's long winded defence of his beloved Shitty?
I'm sure your a lovely bloke & all & I can see why you wouldn't want to hang around with the idiots on Bluemoon, but give us a break mate.
Are you some sort of mole employed at great expense by the sugardaddies to undermine RedCafe and cast doubt into the mind of the younger United supporters?
Form goes out of the window in the Derbies, as you well know, you've beaten us with much weaker teams than you have now.
Our tails are up, some of the 'fringe' players are coming into a bit of form and the last thing United players want to do is loose to Shitty. Much of the Shitty squad don't have that win at all costs Derby history that much of the United squad do have with Tevez, perhaps, a notable exception.
Stop breaking our balls...there's a good fellow...
Hmmm the derby at the coms last year where Scholes ran the show? i dont know what game you saw but i don't remember any 'duels' between Fletcher and De jong in that one and i dont watch Scotland internationlas but im hardly surprised De Jong playing for the world cup finalists had a better game than Fletcher playing for scotland......in the derby at Eastlands last season Scholes gave the mighty De jong/Barry and co the run around for 90 minutes you couldnt get near the bloke, i don't think you've ever dominated us in midfield that was my point hence why you suddenly expect to on Wednesday seemed a bit like wishful thinking to me, id say your central midfield's the weakest area of your team if the likes of Gareth Barry are considered key members of it.
I dont underestimate you at all i call it as i see it, you have a lot of talented forward players who are very unpredictable, you rely almost solely on Tevez for goals inspiration and when hes not there you seem to literally fall apart and become clueless, if Ferdinand and Vidic do their jobs then i can us nullifying your main goal threat which is what Tevez is.
I don't personally buy any of this 'were gonna stroll it no we are' stuff coming from either side, i think it'll be tight either way with the winning margin probably being by the odd goal if not a draw which is what im betting on given our injurys, all depends on who we have fit in my opinion, as our best players at either end of the pitch are still superior to yours.

I reckon the Bitters will beat us. They are due one against us and we're missing some key personnel. Hope I'm wrong.
@Dave, our trio of Scholes, Fletcher, and Gibsonshat all over you're much vaunted thugs in the last derby. The signing of Yaya Toure has only made you more negative and destructive, if we had a full complement, I'd be confident of getting a result due to your gaffer's in-built caution.
No mate I am an electrical technician who works in Chadderton and that post you have just put is more long winded than anything I have put.
I am here to talk football. If you don't want to disscuss football with me then why put anything at all?? I have not disrespected anyone and have been polite and well mannered so I don't understand what your problem is

whatr you think Berbatov and Chicharito are better than Tevez and Adebayor?
No, I quite strangely enjoy Dave's posts. He's a City fan, which I can't think of another poster in the mains who is, and of course he's going to defend his team, even if his views do seem a bit deluded sometimes. Makes a change to hear a City fan back up their argument with some thought out opinions.
But as Allforone said, setting aside midfield, we have a vastly superior defense and a better forward line, where as yours basically consists of Tevez and Hart, imo.
So basically you've seen De Jong against Fletcher twice, and one of those was for fecking Scotland, whilst De Jong was playing for Holland. Messi looks shit for Argentina and regularly gets outplayed by the opposition. Not to compare Fletcher to Messi of course, but international form means shit all. Can barely remember the derby last year. Just remember us winning quite easily, and dominating the match.
City will be doing very fecking well to dominate midfield against United. It would need to be your best midfield performance of the season. I'd be very surprised if the possession strayed too far from 50/50.
to be honest they did'nt mate, it was a nothing game with Scholes being head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. City played for ther draw, united played to win and that was the difference. United have that winning mentality and they shown that at the weekend.
Your so wrong about Yaya though mate. Hes not a defensive midfielder at all. Yes he played there for Barca but I think we can all agree that given Barca's options if he wanted a game he would have to play the holding role.
It's just my opinion here lads and I could be miles wide of the mark but I think City will over power uniteds midfield come Wednesday. This City team is not the same as the one United got the better of last season
