Wigan away is probably the easiest away in the league, id rather go there than Wolves or West ham, crap result for Arsenal and against 10 men.
Wathcing the Chelsea highlights they really did spawn a win tonight didn't they, offside goal, clear Terry handball again not given (how many times does Terry handball in the area only for the ref to ignore it??) Rickets missing a sitter etc, lucky lucky boys tonight.
Oh well, 4 points clear of Chelsea with a game in hand, 2 clear of Arsenal with a game in hand, 2 games in hand on City, who wouldn't have taken that in August?
2 games in 48 hours

He never does.Do you ever discuss your own team without attempting to deflect by bringing United into it?
Uh. Nothing wrong with Wigan's penalty, just inside and utterly stupid by Koscielny. Arse should've had a penalty, just like Bolton should've, but nothing worse than what we had last night.
The Wigan penalty was an inch or so outside the penalty box, and also was a dive. It was a poor decision, but in fairness, I was watching a pretty clear stream, and it looked like a stonewall penalty at first. The ref bought it, which is annoying, but it happens.
The team selection nearly paid off, but in the end, we have to take a point from a game we should have won. Very frustrating, given Chelsea won due to a poor decision as well. The refs generally do a great job, but over the last couple of nights, they've given Chelsea a massive boost and hurt United and Arsenal. If decisions had been correct, us two would both have won, and Chelsea would have drawn.
Move on to Birmingham at the weekend with the A-team back out. I'm annoyed at how little rest we were given as well, but you have to deal with that. We can't all have the 'fortune' Chelsea have of playing all three games in London.
If you cnuts want to have a pop at our away record then I think it's valid to mention your 1 win away this season?Do you ever discuss your own team without attempting to deflect by bringing United into it?
The French and Germans would more than compete if they could afford half a billion of losses per year, which for the record may soon be the case since Paris Saint Germain is on the brink of being taken over by some Qatari owners, watch your space in the upcoming years.
Nothing to boast about a league being more entertaining than others when its clubs are all in debt as opposed to the German and French financial fair play system. When on top of that, all the talent on display in said "entertaining league" actually comes from all parts of the world but the national one, the only thing you can be proud of is your club's owners.
HAH Notice how the cork follows the bottle in the exact same angle..

Past form is not a reliable guide to the future: "investments can go down as well as up".A look at the PL tables of the last 6 seasons tell you that United & Chelsea are by far the most likely teams.
the refs have been mental recently I agree. But 10 men down and leading...really no excuse not to put it away.
team selection is key.....why worry about a match several days away when this match has yet to be won.

BTW Just read from another forum that Arsenal made 11 changes from the Chelsea game?? Shouldn't it be a fine and/or a few points off like they did to Wolverhampton??

Closer than I though, after watching it again. The "collision" happens exactly on the line, and I'm sure Koscielny hits him, although he obviously goes down too easily. I don't think you can be too upset about it, Wilshere went down easily after the "headbutt", but it's still a red. Anyway, you should've had a penalty which should have saved a shite performance from your lot.He dives, and it isn't in the box. I don't want to blame the official, but it's by no means a penalty. You can't rewrite history here.
Hmm, was it you who was bigging up Probert just the other day.The Wigan penalty was an inch or so outside the penalty box, and also was a dive.

ah...but you are saying it is more entertaining yes? regardless of your reasons. Look, yes we do have rich clubs...but actually we don't generally attract the top players in the world. We have to seek the under players for want of a better phrase..because the top players will always usually choose the top spanish or italian clubs..maybe because its sunny, less taxing for their talents regarding the opposition. Even Ronaldo said that playing in the spanish league is easier because you only have around four teams who can challenge you. Ferguson is right...winning the english league is the hardest thing to do because of the money maybe....but then it does make it the most exciting league. Look at the results this season..feck fancy football...what the true fans love is a real fight....not knowing what will happen...that a lower team has players who can feck you with one flick against the odds.....its a brilliant league...the best...no doubt about that
Not based on that performance at Brum you're not.True, true. We're getting better all the time though.

Read the thread you tedious feckwit.Questioning your mental strength in throwing away tonights lead is not 'having a pop at your away record' you over sensitive queer. Jesus, do you want crisps with that bitter?

In the last 6 seasons Spurs were not playing in the CL, now they are and sit just 1 point behind Chelsea. City are currrently in 2nd place and will continue to out-spend all others.
The old order changeth. Liverpool have already discovered this. Complacency is not your friend.
Yes, it's frustrating, and we should have won it, but it would have been a poor move to play a stronger side this evening. We had 45 hours between games, whereas Wigan played at 3pm the day before. Playing against Chelsea took a lot out of us as well. It's hardly an ideal scenario, and by rights, our game should never have been played. When recovery time is so scarce, an extra day is huge. This isn't akin to playing in the CL during the week and playing on the Saturday as opposed to the Sunday. We might just look back at this draw and think it an OKish result, but only if we beat Birmingham.
You don't know what will happen in the Bundesliga neither, look at Bayern Munchen finalists of the Champions League last year, stuck in the mid-table since the start of the season.
Even if the PL was the best (which I'm not saying it is), the reasons for that success are such that there's nothing to boast about for an Englishman.
Yeah, I agree that Probert is one of the better refs, I think he could have judged from the triple pike that it wasn't a foul.Do you not sympathise with that decision Pete? Looked cast-iron at first, Z'Nogbia massively conned him. Yeh it's a poor one, and we suffered massively from it, but it doesn't turn him into a poor referee.

we all love watching these games come thick and fast over the holiday season...but it really is brutal on the players....and if it involves travelling and such....
madness.
if there is any word of comfort to the gooners...or any of us really...it is that there is an awful lot of football still left to play...
one thing though...any team that leads the table by 10 points will win the thing...games in hand or not.
Yeah, I agree that Probert is one of the better refs, I think he could have judged from the triple pike that it wasn't a foul.
You've actually got less cause since we were denied a pen and unjustly had one awarded against us.Except we have much more to be upset with the ref costing us 2pts than you lot.
Difficult to play two games so close together, isn't it?
On the plus side, at least we didn't drop points somewhere embarrassing like the JJB. Can't remember the last time that wasnt a banker three points. Usually good for the old goal difference too.
Totally different story at St Andrews. Always a tough gig that. As you'll soon find out.
