Mate I didn’t mean to contaminate your space with my ill informed, unintelligent comments about wonderful Anderson !!!after all you were most probably United’s top goal scorer at 21! …? In your dreams ! Anyway I don’t see what he has done since he has been at United apart from a few spots of good play. Are you the same type of person that were saying “Give Ming the merciless Veron time he’s real class”:lol:Or “that Massimo Taibi is world Class!!!!:wenger::lol: and if you can remember? “That Gary Birtles :wenger::wenger:will be a United Legend just give him Time !!! Well he was a United Legend !!! just not the sort of Legend he would like to be remembered as ..lol lol lol
Anyway I don’t think Anderson (even with the help of HG Wells Time Machine) can show United fans much more than the average stuff hes been dishing out since signing in 2007 at a price of about 17 million !:eek:

This post looks weird to say the least

Jesus christ.

jasus Paul, lay off the smilies! It makes you look like Anderson Searl

I read that like this for some reason.

My bosses daughter works in The Birdcage (a club in town) and he is known to be in there on a regular basis until the early hours. I've heard other rumblings but that I do know to be true.

New info as far as I'm concerned, thanks for sharing.

I notice that he was not in the squad against Villa...again. Seriously, Fergie needs to drop this grudge. We'll need Anderson at some point but we've let him go cold with lack of minutes under his belt. I fail to see how skipping one day's training should result in a 3 week+ spell on the sidelines.

Why bother questioning Fergie's man-management? History shows it's something he's fairly good at!

I know but I just think it's very OTT to freeze someone out for the length of time this has been going on. Maybe Ando did more than miss training but whatever he did doesn't warrant this IMO.

Would Fergie punish someone like Ferdinand or Brown for such an act? I think not.

Yeah and then he comes on and plays crap as he had been doing for the past few games before he was dropped.

The simple fact of the matter is that just like Nani hopefully his time out of the squad will be spent on restructuring his game on the training field.

He wasn't playing great before he was dropped and his form just about merits a place on the bench but no more.

PS: i really don't beleive any of the stuff about him taking a trip to Brazil, he has simply been below par and dropped as a consequence.

Doing a runner to another country without permission in order to drum up a transfer?

I'd guess that he might be a tad annoyed.

Anderson should be glad that he wasn't shipped out straight away.

Bigger men than Ferdinand and certainly Brown have been kicked out of the club before now, unless you have a very short memory

We don't know what he did but there's literally hundreds of examples of Fergie doing this to players and it always works - they always come back with a bang and give a big performance.

That said, in Anderson's case I suspect it's got as much to do with poor performances as discipline issues. I really do wonder how much patience SAF has left with him...

His country's club's haven't a pot to piss in, so how is going home an attempt to engineer a move?

Anderson has always been highly regarded by Fergie so I don't think shipping him out was ever in the question.

That United haven't come out and said that it isn't true is pretty convincing.

And wasn't he photographed while there? And some high up in a club publically admitted that he was there and that he had to persuade him that a loan back to Brazil was a pipe dream. Or is there some reason I've missed to suspect that he wasn't?

Which is what he was told when he missed training and flew to Brazil. He would have saved himself 2 weeks wages and whatever punishment he is copping on top by lifting a phone. Silly boy. And he is just a boy remember.

Is there some reason to suspect that this is untrue?

He is obviously highly regarded. Many have been shipped out for less.

Aye, but not for skipping training. I consider that a minor offence compared to missing a drugs test(Rio) or publicly airing frustrations(Nani).

I just feel that we are achieving nothing with this course of action.

There is no proof of any of that is there?

Mate, the guy left the country and was spotted in Brazil. He met someone from Vasco who he knew during his Gremio days. I think it's pretty deluded to believe he didn't leave the club without permission when all the evidence points to the contrary.

Aye, but not for skipping training.

You make it sound like he overslept. He flew to another country to try to manoeuvre a move. That it was a silly idea that was never going to happen doesn't make the offence insignificant.

There's no proof other than the word of Cuntis that he went for that purpose. Why would he have wanted out anyway? He was getting picked regularly and has a fat contract. It was only after his little stunt that he's been frozen out. So why try and engineer a move? Sounds too far-fetched to me.

We've been playing much better football in his absence. Not a coincidence...

Hopefully we continue with the Fletcher/Carrick/Scholes midfield for Milan and Everton. Much more confident with those three in the side than Anderson.

I haven't seen a single photo of him in Brazil during the period in dispute, I haven't read any creditible source within the club confirm that these stories were true and I see no reason why the club should make it policy to issue a statement denying newspaper stories that seem to be based on wild speculation or completely fabricated accounts.

Other than the lack of photos or creditable sources confirming this no, so let the wild speculation continue.

@WireRed: Why would you assume that Fergie is holding grudge towards Anderson ? As if you knew more than the common caftard

Well he's not constantly leaving him out for being a good boy is he? He's leaving him out because of a breach of club discipline about 3-4 weeks ago...that's bearing a grudge in my book.

Or maybe the other players playing ahead of him have performed far better than him since this breach and that there hasn't been any particular need to play him.Maybe things are happening in training we don't even know of, very silly to assume things when we know feck all

Maybe, but unlikely. Gibson has been on the bench ahead of him, and he hasn't even played, so Anderson is clearly still in the dog house rather than dropped because of form or lack of.

Gibson and Anderson, there is not much between. For all his promise what has Anderson done this season to deserve to be on the bench more than Gibson ?

Performed better, more experience. Gibson is decent but his goals seem to have clouded people's judgement about his ability IMO. Anderson may not score much but he's a far superior all-round player compared to Gibson.

I seem to remember a lot of people thinking the same when Nani wasn't featuring and he said something to the press....

For all we know he might have had a knock and because the reserves haven't played when he was penciled in - he's suffered because of that. Maybe

All speculation. It's very difficult to change a winning team/a settled team. It also shouldn't be forgotten that Anderson is only 21 and Gibson rightly or wrongly, is a viable option who needs games certainly after last season as much as Anderson

Or maybe we've taken him out of the team to focus on coaching him. Sir Alex did say awhile back he was hoping for goals, which we've not seen and Anderson has said he's wanting to get his fitness in order..there are so many reasons why he might not be featuring

It's probably the safest thing to say but at the moment I couldn't care less about Anderson's case if the team is playing well. Not seeing what he could add in the current team other than allowing others to rest. When he'll be needed Fergie will use him

I see no reason why the club should make it policy to issue a statement denying newspaper stories that seem to be based on wild speculation or completely fabricated accounts.

Except for the fact that they do deny wild rumours when they are serious accusations that are better put to bed.

Why would his friend Rodrigo Caetano make this up?The fact that Anderson met with Vasco da Gama’s director of football is set to anger Man United manager even more. Vasco da Gama director has denied this was the possibility of transfer and said they are old friends from his football playing days.

And why has he been dropped to the reserves if it isn't for this offence?

I don't care it is just the first time I have seen people denying that it happened.

Maybe this is true, maybe it isn't, but the fact is that every man and his dog in the world of football make outlandish claims everyday. It's ten a penny stuff.

For people to believe this rumour, we need photos, authentic quotes from people we know, United to comment and many other things. Not sources or alledged quotes in Brazilian newspapers.

A spell on the bench helped Nani. Maybe it will help Anderson too. He just needs to get some new ideas instead of getting complacent.
