Angel Di Maria | Performances | Wife: "He only joined United for money. The food was disgusting. The women look like porcelain"

We're the fools for selling him. Plain and simple.

Average performance but always pops up with an assist.
We replaced him with Memphis. Just think about that?

It does send a shiver down your spine to think LVG thinks this guy is not good enough to play for Utd, or he cannot think of an appropriate way to use him. Maybe in a way that clip summarises the disconnect between what the supporters want and where he thinks we need to go

His performance for PsG really highlights how bad Van Gaal is in managing some players. Even though he was void of confidence at United, he still had the most assist in our team and was second behind Fabregas in the league. Nevertheless, we should of kept Di Maria and sack Van Gaal in hindsight.

Let's not pretend he wasn't crap. I would have kept him, but last season he was crap.

No one in our squad could even dream of pulling off a pass like that.

Maybe because they are afraid of the beating LVG would give them if they didn't pull it off. A pass like that from someone in our squad that didn't come off would get them a Monday start for our U21s.

A few very good passes here and there but largely unimpressive. Similar to last season, capable of moment of brilliance but often sloppy. Personally not arsed about letting him go.

Right, so now most have turned to totally blame LVG for ADM's pathetic stint at United.

The guy was absolute garbage after the burglary incident. It was quite evident he never wanted to be in Manchester.

LVG gave him plenty of chances off the bench to make an impression. Never seen someone be so careless in possession - was constantly putting us under pressure.

He's found his confidence again at PSG. The place he wanted to be from the start.

Aye just because he's doing well now doesn't mean he wasn't a complete shitbag when he was with us. Some of his antics were a disgrace.

Hmmmm.....I don't think it was that sensational a pass. It was a very good pass but not really Messi levels was it? Mata for one could have definitely played it.

Yeah. Not all his fault but he didn't help the situation at all with a lack of fight.

Who actually does well or impresses in those max 20 min cameo's? And he still created more than the others with that limited game plan. He lost the ball very much, but at least he's a player that makes things happen.

Nothing special today. I don't miss this coward.

We're the fools for selling him. Plain and simple.
Not really. He'd be playing like a zombie if he was in our team. We'd have sucked every bit of confidence out of him. With the way football matters are ran at the club currently, he's not a player who would thrive, sadly. Would have loved him in Ferguson's team. He'd have expressed himself wonderfully.

Average player. sub par for Man united level, certainly not worth even that 45 million for which he went to PSG..

As shit as he was last season, he was by far our most creative player. Very good today. United lack a creator of this calibre.

Yup, we would've wasted him in his prime fecking around scrapping for a top 4/europa league spot.

We didnt decide to sell him nor did LVG not get the best out of him.

He never wanted to join us and the first chance he got, he left.

Good player in a good attacking functional side but nowhere near good enough to dictate games by himself.

 at some of the comments in a poor game for him where he still had an assist for the winner

Thats what top players do

nor to be the main man.

He needs better team mates than him on the pitch, 2 or 3 world class players to carry the responsibility of the team. In those conditions, he can shine.

Yeah. Not all his fault but he didn't help the situation at all with a lack of fight.

Mata could but di María does. That's quite a big difference. Di María's occasionally a mindnumbingly stupid player and often a bit of a wimp, but he always looked for the killer ball and often pulled it off.

Dictating games by himself isn't part of his remit.

Obviously. That was my point in relation to some of posts in here. He isn't that kind of player but he can be very good in a functional team and will get goals and assists. We saw at the start of last season that he can be an important player when things are going well. However, when the chips are down, he's about as useful as Depay currently is.

Dont forget Depay, thanks for reminding me mate!

We shouldn't be buying world class players, they think too much of themselves and don't take the club seriously. We need more fresh blood, young players that are hungry, committed and dedicated like Depay.

Why do people criticise LVG or the board for not keep Di Maria? He never wanted to join United, we were just a vehicle for him joining PSG, who could not buy in 2014 due to FFP
