Birmingham City v Manchester United

I think it's just bs that he is carrying a "knock" again. It's just a cover up from Fergie in order to avoid questions about why his 30 million striker isn't playing.

Well I didn't want to go with the conspiracy approach, but you're probably not far off...

Grapevine saying Rooney up top alone so keep it in your pants!

If Berbatov doesn't start, I really I don't think it will be down to an injury. It will be down to his half arsed performances of late. Really a shadow of a player he was at Spurs unfortunately.

Berbatov's injured then? Michael Owen having a better fitness record than him this season. Who'd have thought?

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw at St Andrews, but they created a lot of openings. We should get chances today. Especially if we try to stretch the game as much as possible

Chelsea Birm was 0-0 there, Hart was having a fantastic day. Hopefully that doesn't happen to us.

I can see this being 1-0 either way to be honest, dont see many goals in this today and especially with us playing 1 up top (if and when thats confirmed) its gonna be a tight affair....one thing about being without Berbatov is i worry for us in a creative sense, we dont ever seem to create much with 1 up top.

That game was played on Wednesday.

Glad I'm not the only one ole, I thought I'd developed the ability to see the future or something then. I was sitting here thinking "I'm sure I knew about that result a few days ago..."

It's all about the width against teams like Brum, they'll pack the middle and with Berbatov playing so much deeper for us than he ever did at Spurs, I'm not sure he'd have much space, as their midfield screen would be all over him.

The width is the key, need Evra and I guess Rafael to be bombing on at all times, overlapping and providing crosses, I'd like to see though that Fletcher + AN Other (Anderson?) pushing on and actually getting into the box and supporting Rooney.

Yep.

Width is key. As a few have pointed out - when our wingers are on form, we produce some proper football.
