David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

shouldn't the title of this thread be changed to 'SACK WATCH: David Moyes as Sunderland manager' ?

His team is shambolic and will lose many many more matches.

It may be 0-3 but there are still 12 mins left, and his players have already stopped playing for him.

His time in charge of us seems to have irreparably broken him.

Terrible manager. Built a good side at Everton but he really needs time at a club to make any sort of impact.

To be fair, he was with us for around nine months or something and I'd say he made a hell of a fecking impact.

Sunderland fans be like...

Was going to say that I feel a bit for Sunderland fans but then I remembered how they acted when City beat us to the title in 2012.

He will struggle to see out the season at this rate. There's only so long he can continue to get employment on the back of what he did at Everton. Next stop MLS?

As soon as they appointed him, some said he could save them and some said he will relegate them (or getting sacked during the season). I still think they will go down and Moyes will get sacked at some point, their team looks dreadful. They fighted a bit in the first half, but they are the most uncreative team in the PL. How the feck do they want to score goals? Januzaj is their main creative outlet and Defoe just has no service at all. They have some runners and workers but zero creativity or productivity (Gooch and that other fella). They need a miracle.

This season will conclude with Tony Pulis trying to keep Sunderland up and Steve Bruce managing West Brom. Moyes will be showing up on Sky saying he should have got more time at United after a 3rd managerial disaster. Mark my words.

Gooch and Watmore. Fair play to them for how hard they try but they have such little quality.

Not a bad shout!

"You've not got to concede any goals, if you do that you've got a chance of winning so we've got to try and make sure not to concede any goals."

Genius.

Phil and Jamie seem to be struggling to find it possible to criticise old Moysey.

Phil instead setting him to be the greatest manager ever if he ends up keeping them up, puts his Rooney comments into context.

What is this guy smoking? I'd like to try.

If his risk averse football is anything to go by then he's the sort of guy who doesn't smoke. The one time he took a cigarette he was so emboldened he sprinted the length of the nightclub pumping his fist in the air simply because it didn't kill him.

Spurs away next so a loss there, but then a run of games against Palace, Brom, Stoke & West Ham. A bad run there and he will be sacked IMO.

This is sadly why Moyes is so deluded for saying he should have been given more time here. If there was ever any hope for him, that season broke him and he's still broken.

The Palace game will be huge after what Spurs will do to them, but I still don't see him being sacked any time soon - they'll probably at least keep him on for when he inevitably takes points of us, such is football  :nervous:

Could have won the league you know if........

The pressure is already on. The Sunderland fans do not like.

Can't fault them, he's a complete deluded moron.

Is that a real quote?:wenger:

Recycling managers like Moyes, Hodgson, Hughes, Pulis, Allardyce etc. really seems pointless to me. Moyes, Sparky and Pulis could be hanging out with Hodgson by xmas at this rate. Moyes is a definite goner though.

As a supporter of Moyes I have been quite disappointed as of late. I am still going to wait. In my opinion, he can still prove to be a very good manager for someone of Sunderland's level if time is given but by time I meant 3-4 months not the 3 years he wants.

Unfortunately, the Totenham game is not going to be easy
