Easter Premier League Fixtures (06/04/12 - 11/04/12)

What formation are Newcastle playing?

Cisse's finishing reminds me of Fowler, Cole and Eduardo (before that injury). Lethal and hardly misses.

Cole and hardly misses?
Also.. Eduardo was massively overrated by the Arsenal fans. He magically became the best striker the world had ever seen during his time out injured.

Cole at Newcastle then? :smirk:

Newcastle are playing 4-3-3, I think the formation was trialled against West Brom? Look a much better counter attacking team now.

Maybe Sewelly and Marching will confirm or not, I thought this was the best defensive match from Santon.Newcastle defended as a team and Ben Harfa did his fair share of hardwork.Pardew is exploiting Newcastle's current potential at 150%

Only two points behind Arsenal and Tottenham and something tells me at least one of them will drop points this weekend. Newcastle have Bolton at home next so they could even jump into top 4 soon.

Time to sign up Graham Carr? He's found some right gems for the club.

Yeah was a nice game from Santon. I like him a lot, really good footballer but still a bit naive defensively.

Sewelly, what sort of gift are you planning on sending King Kenny in return for your new team?

The man deserves some appreciation.

4-3-3.

I've been craving for us to play it all season long. It's marginalising Ba's goalscoring a bit but we're playing much better as a team.

Jonas and Tiote as holding midfielder and Cabaye as an advanced midfielder?

Concede. lerl.
Much better to take a side of incredible creative talent and have them play the most pedestrian, functional football with young forwards as wing backs and full back cloggers in midfield, relying on a couple of soon departed individuals (along with floodlights, tea ladies, the mascot, and anything else Ashley can flog) who haven't yet had their brilliance coached out of them, to win games. (only kidding, incredible season, enjoy the success).

I Love having football everyday. I can work from home this Friday, but will miss all the fixtures next week. I miss being able to see them all! If things go right, this Sunday could be the day that City truly crack. If we win, and they are losing at Arsenal, I hope to see a Balotelli vs the entire team fight!

And feckface Tevez on the bench storming out into the tunnel during injury time?! LOL

Happy Newcastle won, they're playing City still before the end of the season so hoping they still have something to play for when the match comes.

We still have to play Swansea, so rather their confidence was low by the time we got round to play them.

Yeah.

Guthrie played in Jonas' position against Liverpool. The latter is not suited to the role completely and the former is not quite good enough - I think if we want to continue with it long term we need to find that third CM.

First you need to sort your defense out, though. Williamson and Perch aren't good enough. I've read that Newcastle is looking to sign Erik Pieters and Douglas as defenders next season.

:D

That weren't pretty today, but it was effective. Against Liverpool and WBA we were much easier on the eye, you never really know what you're gonna get from us but generally it has resulted in a consistent accumulation of points.

(I did see the white text btw)

Without doubt. Colo is fantastic and Taylor is OK but is consistently injured. Quality centre back is absolute paramount of importance, there's been rumours around that we've already agreed a deal for Douglas.

Pieters I've heard pretty scathing reviews about from Dutch fans. But yeah we also need at least 1 fullback.

I've heard some rave reviews about Douglas tbf and your record of signing players from Twente isn't that bad :D.

What has happened to Marveaux?Still Injured?

Hip and groin problems....it's been a while since I heard an update but he must be on the way back.
