Easter Premier League Fixtures (06/04/12 - 11/04/12)

Lee Cattermole is awful.

I know O'Neill is an effective manager but the quality of football that his teams show is frankly not quite there for me.

That's a bit harsh, they played some cracking football at the Etihad last weekend, and the league game before that against QPR.

Btw how a poor a decision it was by Bruce to sign Gardner for 5m instead of Gibbo for 1m. Both of them aren't that special and quite similar but the difference in price is 4m.

We missed the boat on Scott Parker. Should've bought him during his Charlton days instead of the likes of Djemba2 and Liam Miller, or even Hargreaves a few years later.

I didn't see either game. Whenever I switch them on, or used to switch Villa and Celtic, it was very average. Not really bad, not Allardyce like, but very ordinary and predictable.

He's not very good. Don't let his inspirational last ditch blocks fool you!

Celtic played great football under O'Neill.

He plays to the strengths of his sides and improves them every time.

They're pretty much the same player, Gardner has a good shot on him as well if I remember correctly but is pretty average off the ball and not particularly impressive on the ball.

I thought they weren't spectacular. I remember their tie against Barcelona in 2004, bored the hell out of me but ended up with them winning 1-0 and nullifying Ronaldinho completely.

I hope Sunderland win anyway, would be funny if Spurs ended up just two points ahead of Newcastle and Chelsea at the end of weekend after all the gloating from Glaston earlier in the season.

He got is spot on that night. If they had have gone for it, Barcelona would have destroyed them

Yeah, you're probably right. He's never really been at a club that would have the resources to play good football. Well, at Villa he kind of did but going for British players he needed to spend extra money on each player. Oh, and that's another thing that annoys me with him - his lack of continental transfers, he's basically only bought British everywhere. I don't know if that's purely preference or the lack of knowledge in European market.

Why? Granted he's better than those you mentioned but he wouldn't get in our side.

Sunderland look like quite a solid side. Hope we have the league wrapped up before we face them in the last fixture.

This game is so boring. 4 defensive midfield players on the pitch.

Get Lennon on for Sandro, drop Modric back and move VDV into the centre.

He would've developed better under Fergie had we bought him back in 2002 when some on here (Livvie) had suggested we buy him. The longevity would have benefitted us given our poor luck for varying reasons with the likes of Djemba, Miller, the Alan Smith experiment, Hargreaves, and more recently Fletch.

He could afford to play great football with Celtic in that shambles of a league. In the Premier league he's always churned out this kind of turd. The desperation to have Lee Cattermole in your side says it all.

He shöuld be sorted out he's going to break someone's leg diving in recklessly.

I once saw someone on here advocating we buy the twat. If I ever see such a ludicrous statement again, I'll cry myself to sleep every night until I die. He's just such an average footballer, a nothing midfielder. Horrible on the ball, disguises his shortcomings by "intimidating" players, i.e. diving in whenever he's too slow reading the game, which is basically every minute of every match.

I hate players of his ilk.Yeah, Michael cnuting Brown, I'm looking at you. And what's more, I absolutely hate people who likes those kind of players.

Rant over.

That was the cards he was dealt with. He took over this squad.

Harry is just taking the piss now. He's trying to turn spurs into some continental possession football team in the last stretch of the season. Bale is useless in central areas. He hasnt an inkling of how to play in central congested spaces. Whenever the ball goes out wide its akkotto who is the guy crossing, with Bale wandering about in the middle trying to be a ronaldo or messi in a free role. It's highly bizarre.

Safe to say I disgree. He's a decent player but would be nothing more than back up.

His Villa side were the best of the last 10 years

This has nothing to do with the results be achieves. He undoubtedly is very good at getting good results. It's about the way his sides play.
