Van Piorsing
Lost his light sabre
SAF won't let him play until he's convinced, he's ready - 100%.
No worries.
No worries.
Can't wait to have him back. He is the only player in our squad who can do what he does.
Guardian saying he will take part tomorrow.
If he finds his form soon, he'll be immense.
Just imagine if he and Valencia can find form now for the run-in, for a team that plays so much through the wingers we've been massively hampered this season with the crap form of Young, Nani (before injury) and Valencia. Getting these 2 into form would send us into overdrive!
I wouldn't hold your breath for Valencia. He's showing no signs as of yet.
SAF to MUTV: 'Wayne coming back is good news. He's been training for a week and looking good. Nani...is really looking very good.'
Did Fergie confirm Nani would be involved tonight, or is it just that comment above? I reckon we definitely need him at the weekend, that's going to be a very tough game.
Rooney and Nani looking sharp
Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Wayne Rooney and Nani are both impressing in training ahead of their return to action against West Ham on Wednesday night.
The attacking duo will play in the FA Cup third-round replay and increase the options open to the boss at a busy time for the club.
Rooney has been out since the draw at Swansea before Christmas while Nani's last appearance was 15 games ago in Braga. Sir Alex also hinted that Javier Hernandez and Antonio Valencia appear primed to complete the front-four positions.
"Both [Rooney and Nani] will play," confirmed the boss to MUTV. "Both are fit.
"[There's] Chicha and Antonio, we've got a strong squad, you know. There won't be many changes really. Wayne coming back is good news. He's been training for a week and looking good. As for Nani, he came back from his spell abroad [having a break in Dubai] and is really looking very good. So I'm fine and will play a strong team."

How does Nani perform in the few matches following a return from injury in general ? I mean does it take him a long time like Rooney to reach a very good level ? I honestly don't remember
It's funny the amount of praise he's been getting in this thread after not playing for two months. I wonder how long that'll last when people see him in action again![]()

It's the Lucas Leiva paradox.
I think Nani will have a blinder this evening and go on a great run of form through the next weeks, which is great ahead of the clash with Real.
Nani won our internal player of the season award in a title winning season. There is a reason why so many of us have a great deal of affection for him. He is capable of brilliance and, in the past, he has shown it consistently over a season.
From memory he isn't like Valencia who generally responds excellently after coming back from injury, usually takes a few games to hit form, but I've got a good feeling about his return.
For me a Cleverley-Carrick middle 2 with Nani, Kagawa, Rooney and RvP up top is our best chance of winning the Champions League this time round. I genuinely believe Nani could have a massive part to play for the remainder of this season.
