I'd go with the front 6, not so sure about Scholes's defensive abilities, we don't want him to get sent off...

Has anyone else noticed the pattern of players never mentioning us when they list the clubs they would be 'open' to joining?

It's definitey not because they wouldn't want to join us or that we are not an attractive prospect. It's surely more an indicator that we don't even seem like we could/would make any of these transfers happen in the eyes of the players. As though, due to our debt, we are nt even in the race...

So it's a fact now that Evans has trained too.

Hopefully that was enough for tomorrow!!!
I hope, I hope. And I think it's quite possible he'll start alongside Rio tomorrow.

Evans has started 15 matches this season.

We scored 39 and conceded just 9 goals when he was on the pitch.

We conceded five more after his red card against City, but that's an impressive record.

Is it me or has there not been much of a build up for this game?

Have a feeling it'll be a niggly 1-0 to one of the teams. Much like the semi final. Leaning towards Citeh winnign.

we have to try and win even if its difficult or else the knives will be out in force.

I really, really hope Evans is back tomorrow. If so:

De Gea

Rafael
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Carrick
Jones
Anderson

Valencia
Rooney
Nani

I'm sort of resigned to defeat, but I just hope we put up a good show.

Most of these "leaked" stories are stunts to improve their contracts at their current club anyways. City will outbid anyone, so it makes sense to mention the likes of them. Plus our transfer style 90% of the time now is to buy young rawish talent to sculpt into the player the club wants.

On the game tomorrow, I hope Park doesnt start. I know he does good against the big teams and works his ass off, but his form lately hasnt being the best, mainly as he has being caught being sucked into the middle far too often lately, especially against Newcastle imo. Key to tomorrow is to keep our shape as much as possible.

Incredible. I'd like to know if the reason was made know to the public knowledge. seriously, will all the money City have and African federations' reputation i wouldn't be entirely sure that things are as clear as they should.

stop being paranoid and sensationalist. more like managers of club and country reaching a sensible compromise.

i don't mind, think its ok and would hope we got such a good stroke of luck, as we have done down the years, if we were in a similar situation .... how many times have we pulled out United players from international duty when they were fit .... i know this is not strictly similar, but its in the same spirit. it all evens itself out.

I thought I saw that Cleverley had actually started training already and that SAF WAS planning to use him today!

We'll see if this is mind games!

Ferdinand Jones hasn't worked but I think that is what the team must be. Rafael at Left Back and Valencia on the RW.

Giggs won't play and I don't think he should. I'm really not enjoying Park these days so I'd put Gibson in there with Carrick believe it or not.

DDG

Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra

Carrick Gibson

Valencia Nani

Rooney

Welbeck

That's my team.

Subs:
Lindegaard
Fryers
Pogba
Anderson
Cleverley (if this is true)
Berbatov
Hernandez

Fergie said Cleverley is due to start training in two weeks, then start training with the first team in three weeks.

That sort of talk is meant to whip up enthusiasm for the transfer, and thus increase said player's expected fee. No point naming anyone but the biggest payers, to make it clear you're going to have to be paid top money to be acquired.

We've managed to create some headway bringing in Portugese players, but we're extremely thin when it comes to bringing in stars from Brazil, Italy, Spain, Germany or France, among others.

I just hope we do not play Valencia at RB. He is far too talented to be wasted playing there. He gives great penetration on the right and with Nani on the left.... we would be great going forward.

With no big CL nights to look forward to the buzz I'm getting for this game is probably going to be the most all season. Cmooonn!

Hope i'm wrong but can't see anything but a narrow win for shitty 2-1

Lindegaard
Rafael Rio Evans Evra
Carrick Jones Anderson
Nani Rooney welbeck

After being on holiday and not seeing a single second of our last two games, the losses, I am fully confident we will get the job done today.

I am also newly religious and praying to every diety I can learn the name of...

Come on utd.

I've been praying to Weightwatchers since New Years tbh.

I just hope we have a creative midfield, that gets behind their defence. Hope our defence doesn't get bullied either. Without Vidic I really worry

Apparently we don't have Smalling, Evans, Cleverley, or Young.

de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra
Carrick Park
Giggs
Valencia Rooney Nani

Lindegaard; Fryers; Anderson, Gibson; Berbatov, Hernández, Welbeck

Anderson or Gibson might start.. Fábio might make the bench.. I can't see much else differing though.
