Manchester United v Stoke City

Will brown be back for the Villareal game? if not then the only reason that Rafael is on the bench could be due to fatigue but he looks like he's got bags of energy. SAF can't of played O'shea to deal with the aerial threat because O'shea 's timing is useless.

Tinker, tinker, tinker - lose, lose, lose.

Tinker, tinker, tinker - making sure we have a squad well rested for the Christmas fixture list.

By all means play our first 11 each week, make them get tired and injured before the critical part of the season. Personally i'd much rather go with the gaffer ;)

This team should be good enough to beat stoke and Rio will get enough rest.

The Christmas fixture list is two games this year. Okay, we're going to the World Cup but can't see us giving our best players 180 minutes out there.

I think it's bit risky having the bench we have today.

We need height to defend delap's throw ins, that is why sheasy is starting instead of Rafael.

Not conviced by that team at all.

But it pisses me off wen people complain so i shall go off to the pub quietly :)

He´s too short. Plus Fergie probably doesn´t want to use more than 1 inexperienced defender.

i dont think brom are reknowned for their arial game are they? more of a passing side? if hes experienced to start a champions league game then surely hes good enough to face brom....plus oshea is shit going forward and i get the feeling most of the game will be spent in their half.

OK line-up, would have prefered someone else instead of Park.

Welbeck and The Black Pele on the bench.

Brom? This game is against Stoke, the biggest team (physically) in the league.

We are playing stoke today/

Team news
Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney do not even make the Manchester United bench for the visit of Stoke. The United captain has a bad back, while Rooney is suffering from a chest infection and a calf strain. Ryan Giggs is another to miss out for the home side with a hamstring problem. Jonny Evans, Carlos Tevez and Park Ji-Sung all start.

feck 3 injuries in succession. :(

Good team that. Another boost for Evans and Tevez. I'm going for 5-0 :)

I think he's been dropped. A steady reminder that no one in this team is an automatic starter.

I'm happy with the team, apart from O'Shea at right back. I knew he'd play but I think Rafael deserves his place at the moment with Brown injured.

Other three clubs will win their games today as there easy, so this is vital...!

rafael definitely deserves to keep His place as we should be inflicting damage to stoke not worrying about them getting throw ins.on the rio point maybe your right maybe your wrong but on current form He has been shabby and that goes for vds too Who I would have dropped for foster.

Edit: but thank god I'm not the manager even if i do talk to much :).
