Can't say Kagawa is impressing as of yet. Honda looks like Japan's best player by far really. Kagawa is tidy, doing some good defensive work, but no edge. And what it is i heard about Japan being fluid attacking team, with high pressing and all that?
Does not look like it one bit. In fact Japan is playing a strictly as a defensive team right now. They concede possession, they defend pretty deep and they are looking for quick breaks to hurts opposition. And that was the same with 0-0. They did have 5-7 minutes of a domination just before their goal and after, but that was short-lived.
And what a strike that was from Honda, great left footer! I think he beat Toure on the way as well.

African guys are having a kind of flat night so far. They dominate the play and possession but it's not like they created much, especially in terms of clear cut chances. Front trio are very fussy, no composure in the team, even Toure looks like a player who would dribble though like 3-4 players only to screw the final ball.
