Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

Spurs have already beaten the dippers.

this will be a bloody tough game, a real test for us....:nervous:

Going to christen my Dad's new 52" LCD TV with this game. Lets hope its a good one.

this is a tough one, obviously cant afford to lose so early in the season again:

Foster
brown
vidic
rio (if fit obviously)
evra - who owes lennon a challenge

fletcher
carrick
anderson - about time he gets going

nani
berbatov - players tend to do well against old clubs

rooney

prediction: 0-1, fletcher

no!
442!

is rio fit for this ?

he has a chance according to Sir Alex but he didn't side either way.

442 definately

I'd like Berbatov up with Rooney as he's looking better then he was last season. I'm not sure Fletcher and Andersons record together but Anderson was very strong in the reserves and fletchers doing very well

I think Park will feature because Valencia might be benched - what with the traveling he's had to endure

All pretty standard. Rios a toss of a coin. No o'shea so right backs up for grabs.

Park should start, we need his energy to track down Lennon who gave Evra torried time in teh carling cup final last season.

its an important week : spurs away, Turkey trip, then City.

Evra needs to restore his rep with this game

I see hardly anyone has put Scholes into their starting 11s. I say you alll are mad. He trained during the international break and will be well rested. I exptected a midfield of Fletcher-Scholes or Carrick-Scholes or even Fletcher-Giggs.

Scholes may be slow but I'd like to see what he can do with Fletch considering Fletch is in the form of his life. His energy and presence could allow Scholes to focus on what he does best - passing and creating space and keeping posession.

Giggs rested too as you know, Anderson stayed home as far as I know and Carrick only came on at half time against Slovenia. Only Fletcher played two full games and he's our most in form midfielder.

Owen should be considered to start tomorrow if Berba or Wayne are feeling a bit tired after the internationals.. I think the Spurs defence would suit more to Owen than for Berba, who is going to have a tough time at WHL... He should only be used as a sub if we need a goal in the 2nd half..

Berbatov's already scored two goals against Spurs for us. One in the F.A. Cup and one in the league.

Foster
Ferdinand Vidic
Brown Fletcher Evra
Giggs
Nani Berbatov Park
Rooney

1-2

Does anyone have an idea where to watch this in Oxford? Stupid bloody in-laws don't have ESPN.

The Radcliffe Arms and the Four Candles or something have been suggested. But any better ideas? Preferably not too far from the station?

Gomes = Foster
Corluka < O'Shea/Brown
King < Vidic
Bassong < Evans
Ekotto < Evra
Lennon > Valencia
Huddlestone < Carrick
Palacios < Fletcher
Keane < Nani
Defoe < Rooney
Crouch < Berbatov

I don't really think we'll line up like that though, I reckon we'll play some sort of 4-3-3 with Giggs or Anderson instead of Valencia, but if I had Lennon vs. Giggs I'd have to give it to Giggs and that'd been too cruel.

I agree we probably won't line up like that but it's still quite reassuring to remind ourselves that we do have the better team.

Hopefully we'll start to gain some momentum today and Rooney, Berba and Nani can have good games again. No doubt i'd take a 1-0 win now though!

Potentially very tough game, they're on a high, and Lennon is a Spuds Ronaldo

-------------------Foster-------------------

Wes --- Caravan Park --- Nemanja ---- Evra

Nani ----- Carrick ------- Fletcher ---- Park

----------- Rooney ------ Berbatime ------

Ideal scoreline: 7 nil win

Realistic scoreline: 2-1 win

Rooneys in my FF now so he can have both (please!)

Woohoo, just ordered ESPN and we have it already. Magic.

Fergie, for the love of god, play a 4 4 2 and we'll win it.

I think Rafael is nearly ready for a comeback. I know I have read or heard that some where.

This is going to be tough and I'm going to miss it!

I have a game myself to play. Only decent reason to miss a match I suppose.

I am rather optimistic that we can get 3 points today, since Modric isnt playing.
I think we can handle Spurs attacking power, and I hope we have enough to trouble them. Nani, Rooney and Berbatov are our only match winners.

last season you probably would have just been able to add ronaldo to that list and wouldnt have had nani, i dont see this as an issue as you can also add the likes of giggs, scholes and owen and since our success in the last few years has been based on a solid defence too all the defenders can be called "match winners"
