Wigan Athletic v Manchester United

The lack of streams these days is bloody annoying too.

There's loads of streams for every match

Yeah I thought they've got better and better. Wiziwig offers loads and Veetle has some iPhone friendly ones.

This is a disgrace I should add.

I don't think that it is necessarily a question of prioritising one thing over another were we to rest a few of those who played against West Brom, they a side with better form than Wigan much of the campaign thus far.

Mind you, getting just the first half from Carrick would be preferable to both Scholes and Giggs starring.

Only on radio (5 live).

That'll have to do for me [where's my walkman...], a group of us are going out for lunch a walk this afternoon.

We play much better with Carrick in the team, I wouldn't mind him starting again but only playing an hour and being replaced by Fletcher. He'll get a rest for the West Ham game. However, it'll probably be the other way around. Fletcher starts, we're not winning, so Carrick comes on anyway... I'd like us to do the same with Kagawa, but as long as he gets some minutes today I don't mind. Same for Vidic.

However, if Vidic, Carrick, and Kagawa are all pushed to the bench, it'll probably be this today:

de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
Valencia Fletcher Cleverley Young
Hernandez van Persie
--
Lindegaard; Smalling, Vidic; Carrick, Scholes, Kagawa; Welbeck

With potentially Hernandez on the bench and Scholes in midfield.

Veetle? I thought we were all fortunate enough that this disgraceful app seemed to have disappeared?

He looked knackered finishing against WBA which was a couple of days ago.

If we can't rest him for Fletcher for one game over the single busiest period of the season then it says alot about Fletcher's comeback. Likewise, Buttner for Evra.

Personally I think fatigue with Carrick and Evra is important to get the desired result today. It's all well and good saying we can rest him for West Ham at the weekend but wheeling out Evra and Carrick regardless of fatigue is going eventually have a negative impact on their performances and risks injury which is the last thing we need with these two. The Swansea and Newcastle games were quite draining games as well.

BTW - Anyone with any news on Anderson?

I would play carrick from the start and try and make sure we can win the game quick rather than rest players and then have to bring on others if it hasn't gone well. Fletcher could have come in but he hasn't featured in a couple of games now and so coming in, in an important role would be a risk and with no Anderson for I wouldn't want to see clev and giggs/scholes, that doesn't work for me.

I would be tempted to play 3 in the middle though to make sure we dominate the middle and reduce the work rate of the likes of carrick and evra. He and evra hopefully can get subbed relatively early and then can miss the cup game.

I never cease to be amazed at this, here in Norway I get virtually every single PL match in glorious HD.

Don't cease to be amazed, but do cease posting about it. It's bad for my blood pressure.

Thousands (slight exaggeration) to Sky, and not a single United match over Christmas.

The scoundrels website seems to run perfectly well on their "mobile" format.

Manchester United is the only team in the whole Europe which has not received a single red card in 2012. True?

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes i think of just kicking Sky in altogether and just rely solely on streaming over the internet.

Manchester United line-up:

De Gea - Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra - Young, Carrick, Cleverley, Giggs - van Persie, Hernandez.

Bench: Lindegaard, Valencia, Smalling, Vidic, Welbeck, Scholes, Kagawa.

Good line-up. Valencia dropped, Young on the right, van Persie with Hernandez up front when Rooney is injured. Let's smash them.

#MUFC XI: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Young, Carrick, Cleverley, Giggs, RVP, Hernandez

Happy with that.

#MUFC Bench: Lindegaard, Valencia, Smalling, Vidic, Welbeck, Scholes, Kagawa

Cracking bench IMO.

Great to see Rafael back. About time Valencia is dropped - as much as I like the guy, he hasn't deserved to start recently.

I'm confident.
