I hope all the bashers give it a rest now. Some were saying he's actually not that good of a player, tonight proved what a great player he is. Never doubted him.

personally think he hasnt been treated well and his contributionlast season was being underestimated. was absolutely brilliant tonight especially considering he hasnt had a run of games. should play against sunderland i think, itss the very least he deserves

Puts the idea that he can't play with Giggs up front, or in a 4-3-3, to shame as well.

I also never doubted him. It seemed like I was in the minority trying to defend him but lets see who comes crawling back on his side now. Tevez is a top striker and is more than worthy of a place in our squad. He took out his frustration tonight and lets hope he is all the better for it.

Sent a message loud and clear.

I have absolutely no shame in saying Carlos Tevez I fecking love you!!

Yes! What more does he need to show to start in the Premiership`?`? If he doesnt got the regular spot soon, ill start thinking SAF has lost it! He really showed today what a player he is, running his socks of, dribbling scoring and all in perfection!! I was really proud of him today, and really happy for him!! Congrats Carlitos! Please start him now SAF!!!:devil:

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Thats something people should remind themselves when a player lke Tevez isn't playing well.

Scored more in one game vs premiership opposition than Berbatov has scored all season against premiership opposition. :D

Was great all night. His link up play was outstanding and he took his goals really well.

He was godly out there tonight. Brilliant!

Side note - It looked like he took out his frustration tonight alright, but he went on to show it on the pitch in the right way. He wasn't all that happy after his goals either. Wonderful player, fourth goal was a treat and the third one. Anderson

Waiting for David Villa to come into the picture.. any moment now.

Let's be clear though, Blackburn were extremely poor. Great game by Tevez but he's not going to be starting on Saturday. I agree with the people who say form is temporary, class is permanent. Hence why Rooney has to generally start ahead of Tevez.

Finally though. Took enough attempts.

A new system takes time to work, you can't expect it to click instantly.

I think we should have a Rooney Tevez partnership against Sunderland.

His last goal was a fantastic strike. He was running his socks off even at the 90th minute.

He is class, however the Rooney, Berbatov partnership is better.

People say if he doesnt start our next game, he should leave. But then that means Rooney or Berbatov is dropped, which leads to why is Fergie leaving his record signing on the bench, or why is Rooney so shit...

They are all £30 million players. Theres no shame one being dropped for another.

But Tevez was on fire vs. premiership opposition, something we havent seen yet from Berbatov this year, though we did for a few games from Rooney. He should be given his chance while he's on this form and for however long it lasts.

Do you think Berbatov will be happy to sit on the bench?

I just find it awkward having 3 top class strikers, when only 2 can be picked. Fergie wont sign Tevez imo.

i remember SAF dropping Ruud cos Saha scored in a couple of successive games, and Ruud beeing probably one of our greatest strikers ever.. That means he can drop berba who doesnt score, to make room for TeveZ

You have to make the most of that bit of form though.

Sunderland are just as bad defensively so it wouldn't be much of a problem to leave out one of Rooney or Berbatov if Tevez doesn't keep up that form.

I'd like to see Tevez and Berbatov have another crack at forming a partnership.

I'd rather upset him than Tevez.

I'm pretty sure if we dont sign Tevez we'd go for another top class or just off top class striker. There's a reason why we have the three now and thats because SAF chose it.

Do you think Tevez is?

Of course he's not. But he's gone out tonight and done something about it and bagged himself 4 goals and an assist. Meaning he and Berbatov are both now on 6 goals for the season. So really, he's earned a place in the side, and if he get's one, it will be then down to Berbatov to earn it back, and so on...this kind of competition should in theory be good as it'll keep all 3 of our strikers on their toe's and not resting on their laurels.

I still have strong doubts about Tevez and Berbatov, particularly as neither have any pace that troubles defenders. I would be more keen to play Tevez if he had looked threatening whenever he has come on, but to me he never has done.

With a level-head I probably would want him to start with Rooney though but I doubt he will. Reason being I don't think he will be here next Summer.

I feel sorry for Tevez

Don't think he'll be here next season really :(

Typical Caf over reaction as usual:
1.Blackburn's defence was unbelievably bad!
2.His first goal was more of an own goal and quite lucky
3.The penalty was quite soft and his kick looked predictable, can't believe robinson went the other way.
4.His third goal was given to him really and anderson should have scored himself, unselfish from ando, shame tevez couldn't do the same a bit later on.

Mind you his 4th goal was pretty good and he looked quite good but this performance was against a blackburn side who really were awful in defence. To say that he should now be signed for whatever ridiculous figure and should now start based on this performance is ludicrous.

God I really do have a dislike for him:(

We've played sides with poor defences before this season and this is the only time a player has come even close to scoring 4 goals.

Give the man some credit, he was on fire tonight and if he is able to play consistantly at this level he could provide us with something we haven't really had this season. A striker who gets on the end of things and puts them into the back of the net often.

Jeez. Strange thread. What's with all the fan-boyzzz staying up so late, on a school night?

Tevez played well tonight. Good on him. But we've always known he's a class player. Unfortunately for him, he had a chance to hold down a place when Berbatov was injured but didn't take it. We all saw in the derby how much more of a goal threat we were than in the previous couple of games.

I seriously doubt what was basically a reserve team game has changed the pecking order up front. He'll get another chance to impress for the first-team, sooner or later. It's up to him to play like he did tonight when he next gets that chance.

Now feck off and watch cbeebies, the lot of ye :smirk:

Please, you can only score against whats put in front of you. Its not a knee jerk, i think the caf just forgot with all this wanking over Berba over the past few months. And its also all this talk about the "£32 Million"

We should never forget Carlitos' contribution to last season.
