No it wouldn't. After his last win there was a lot of talk of him and Bisping.

Bisping needs a good beating. The sooner he gets to face the Spider and gets KTFO'd the better.....
He'd hardly get a shot at the Spider would he? Has Bisping ever beaten another top notch contender to earn a shot at Silva? I don't think so.
He hasn't beaten anyone worth a damn, but, if he wins his next match, he'll get a shot at Silva. The TUF'ers are Dana's golden boys and they always get shots and hype they don't really have any business getting.
Well if he goes in against Spider I think it will be too big a step up at this stage. I think he'd be extremely lucky to go much more than 5 minutes with Silva. Silva would demolish him.
is there anybody at mw he wouldnt though?

If Hendo sticks to taking Silva down and GnPing him he could beat Silva.
Hendo dominated the first round against Silva and then his machismo kicked in and since he knocked Wandy the feck out he figured how hard could it be versus this Silva?

Oh hello, maybe a glimmer of hope for 95, it appears they are having trouble selling tickets so Rampage and Congo are being rumoured to be added to the card.

“I saw that you have to dedicate as much as you do to training for a fight as you do for an acting role and I’m intrigued by that. I’m 25 years old. I see Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture and they didn’t really hit their primes till their thirties. I’m only going to be young so long and I know that movies and agencies and what not want the young look...
Pursuing the modeling and acting thing, that’s kind of where I’m at right now. The fighting will always be there. I’ll always have that in me. The truth is I’ve been fighting my whole life for everything, and this to me, is something else.”
Anyone see Roger Huerta has left the UFC to pursue a acting/modeling career?
Weird.
Strange but I think he liked being famous more than he liked being a fighter.
Probably. He'll probably end up back in MMA with his tail between his legs.
The most likely outcome.
perhaps its back to this ufc contract where they want a slice of all the advertising / sponsership income... maybee they would have wanted a cut of his movie money?
i hope its just something like that and he comes back after a year cos hes a great fighter and usually great entertainment on a fight card
He certainly puts on exciting fights, but from the interview that I read I felt that he really thinks he's going to make it big as an actor.
Why do you hate Silva so much, is it because of the hype that surrounds him?
I finally get GSP vs. Penn and I'm in Iraq. DAMN!!!
well as ufc 93 is almost up on us i suppose its predictions time...
must admit im not super excited about the card but sometimes the fights you least expect turn out to be propper wars...
anyway im going to say
Franklin vs Henderson
Rua vs Coleman
Kang vs Belcher
Palahres vs Horn
Davis vs Lytle
Tom “The Tank” Egan Scouting Report
Ht/Wt: 5’11/170 lbs.
Age: 20
Hometown: Dublin, Ireland
Fighting out of: Dublin, Ireland
Record: 3-0
The stakes: Normally, this would be the part where I blather on about Egan being a UFC rookie who needs to prove his worth. Let’s be real here: Egan is from Ireland and his opponent, John Hathaway, is from England. If I need to explain why that matters, you should have paid attention in high school world history instead of sitting at home trying to impress your friends by making a bong out of an apple.
Extracurricular activities and nationalistic rivalries aside, we’ve seen the UFC bring in plenty of local talent for European shows before, and those that fail to impress don’t get to make the trip back across the pond.
The breakdown: Egan is getting his big break early in the game with only three professional fights under his belt, but he does have a strong boxing base and the power to back it up. What remains open to debate is how UFC-ready Egan’s grappling is, especially when you consider the ham-and-eggers he’s feasted on thus far.
Testing out your grappling against Hathaway’s swarming ground-and-pound would be worthy of a Darwin award nomination. For that reason, Egan needs to establish his boxing from the opening bell and show Hathaway that stepping forward will carry a heavy toll.
John “The Hitman” Hathaway Scouting Report
Ht/Wt: 5’10/170 lbs.
Age: 21
Hometown: Brighton, Sussex, England
Fighting out of: Brighton, Sussex, England
Record: 9-0
The stakes: Besides being the latest avatar for England in its ongoing rivalry with the Irish, Hathaway enters this bout with some hype attached to his name as one of England’s premier welterweight prospects. Whether or not that is a product of Hathaway’s skill or the middling competition that makes up his resume is the question he must answer in his UFC debut.
Given the mutant shark tank that is the UFC welterweight division, Hathaway, and Egan for that matter, had better hope that they can get more than just the locals singing their praises.
The breakdown: This one is simple for Hathaway: Don’t go mucking it all up by trading with Egan. From what I’ve seen of Hathaway’s striking, it’s mostly telegraphed punches that have all the force of a pillow-fight behind them. Keeping the boxing to a minimum would be in the best interests of his baby-face mug.
If Hathaway is serious about keeping his teeth securely in his mouth, he needs to get after Egan early with takedowns and swarm his inexperienced quarry with strikes and submission attempts. From there, Hathaway’s strong positioning and accurate striking should be all he needs to tip the balance in favor of the Britons.
* * *
The bottom line: I’ve never been too keen on doubling down with unproven boxers in MMA, and this bout is no exception. Egan may have the edge on the feet, but he’s not Ireland’s answer to Floyd Mayweather, and Hathaway’s tremendous pace on the mat is something Egan is unprepared for.
Irish Mayweather goes down in the first round thanks to British ground-and-pound. Damn, I shouldn’t have read that Ali biography.
I was at the UFC last night, it was class. The fights on the undercard were probably better than the main card itself!
Anyway, I'm watching the replay now on Setanta. For some fecking reason, Setanta edited it and only showed the 3rd round of the Marcus Davis - Chris Lytle fight which was by far the best fight and it had the best atmosphere. What the feck is that about? They only show one round of the fight who everyone wanted to see?
They showed the Lytle/Davis full fight live. It was a great fight.
Rua looked quite poor I thought.
Henderson/Franklin was an enjoyable fight too I thought.
"Whats wrong with it, I didn't know people were pissed".
"There's no star power? We tried to do Chuck Liddel over here, the first time he ever gets injured. Believe me, we've shown how commited we are in the UK, we try to put on the best cards we can put on".
Dana did assure better news for the UK audience with a PROMISE of a title fight in the UK this year.
"That is true (the UFC haven't had a title fight in the UK since UFC 80) and the answer is yes, we will have a big fight this year. Thats a promise".
