Arsenal vs. Manchester United

feck Sky, keep going on about the handball and didn't even bat an eyelid towards Chelsea's "goals" yesterday.

Its too big a risk to gamble on the officials not spotting it. Had it been given it would have been a red card and a penalty, deciding the game then and there.

Penalty and a yellow

Denying a clear goalscoring opportunity = red.

Is a cross in the box considered a clear goalscoring opportunity?

Because I've always understand that term to mean the attacking player had to be in possession of the ball in a goalscoring chance and then is fouled.

Or a blatant handball denying a goal-bound effort.

I didn't even realise it was a handball until Sky decided to show 450 replays of it. Yesterday, when Ivanovic was on a yellow for Chelsea, he dived just inside (or just on the edge) of the penalty area, if the ref thought he dived then why didn't he give him a second yellow and sent him off? Where was Sky's countless replays of that?

They only give countless replays of things when it suits them, the cnuts.

Souness reckons Arsenal have been magnificent?

Typical Arsenal, pass pass pass pass pass nothing - we've had the best chance.

That error from the lino was worse than giving Chelsea the goal yesterday apparently.

Jamie Redknapp, ladies and gentleman.

Just seen the Vidic replay again, and it's the ref that has the better view, and from his view I find it hard that he did not see it

I think it will be 2-0 for the Arsenal.

United always do the hard way. It's the United way.

Eh? You don't think Van Persie was denied a clear goalscoring opportunity by having the ball taken off his head?

Sky still going on about that handball? I never bother watching at half time.

Carrick and Ando don't help to much

An example to anyone that doesn't believe we need to bring in a couple of top quality midfielders this summer.

We have no one that we can even remotely call a midfield hard man that takes the game by the scruff of the neck.

Plus the SKY line of Chelsea not being given the penalty yesterday while having a go at Vidic forgetting the 2 non goals Chelsea got yesterday. Nice to see balanced reporting as usual from SKY be good when Neville gets there and shakes them up.

Should have been a penalty for Arsenal, without any doubt.

But, before moaning at referee, how many of us saw that before replays were shown?

And... I'm not happy with Vidic's decision, his red card would be a massive blow for us next weekend playing Chelsea... he got a red card v Chelsea and didn't play v Liverpool...

It was a touch and go Red. Could have been either colour. What is bizarre is that the linesman called a corner. WTF?

Yep. The ball changed trajectory and it looked a sitter for van Persie. Should have been a red.

That's not a clear goal scoring opportunity foul. Handball for stopping it going over the line is a red. Deliberate handball in the box is a yellow. Not sure where you guys are getting that's a regular foul that is denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.
