He was good tonight, I thought he was too quick to release the ball at times. 17 years old though?![]()
He's already got the tools.

He looks nothing like him!!!!
Ey Mr Boss man, because I'm from Africa, I'm allowed to be "racist"!
Shucks, thought he was 18???
I had to laugh a little when the commentator said something along the lines of "he needs to work a bit on his shooting" after the skied effort. Do your homework.
I suspect it was more tongue in cheek than anything else.
I've previously said I'd reserve judgment on the young lads until I'd seen them play and was very impressed with both Fryers and Pogba last night.
Pogba looked excellent - a great athlete and genuniely box to box. A very exciting debut in my opinion.
I reckon Pogba will be disappointed with his performance. He's shown so much more at reserve level but nothing quite came off for him yesterday (apart from that one sumptuous pass to Valencia) and he was a bit careless on the ball at times. If he impressed you yesterday, you'll be blown away when you see him on a good day!

Considering the level of knowledge of the SSN Commentators who compared him to Vieira as soon as he came on, I suspect not.
I I don't mind Alan Smith to be fair - quite knowledgable and no to biased towards his former club.
The commentators on BBC and ITV are far, far worse in my opinion.
I'm happy with that debut. He was overall very confident and assured in midfield, and few moments of nervousness aside.
Besides, what a crazy line-up to make your full debut, anyone playing well today deserves a ton of credit, it's got to be confusing.
Yeah, Sky have far better commentators and pundits. Disregarding Jamie Redknapp...
I had to laugh at Berba in the centre of defence
Is it wrong that I dont actually mind Jamie Redknapp?
Anyway, back to Pogba, I thought he did well considering it was his debut, but as said before he didn't perform anywhere near to the level that he puts in during the reserve games, which Im going to put down to nerves.
Once the lad has a few more 1st team games, sub appearances, his confidence will build, the nerves will settle then we will see the Pogba from the Reserves.

Fair point.Yeah it wasn't the greatest debut, but I put that down to the team only playing half power in the second half. Most of the players just walked around and weren't really interested in pursuing a fourth goal, which meant Pogba didn't have many options when he was on the ball resulting in him forcing something or just passing it backwards.
