He did so well till the end where he didn't know what fecking Carrington was. Still my choice to take over unless we can get our hands on one of the fab five.

Mourinho, Klopp, Ancelotti, Guardiola, who is the other?

Yeah, sack him because he did not know about the name of the training ground of the club. Every manager knows these things:wenger:

Mourinho-- He'll never be this club's manager and I am glad. He is too much of a diva.

Klopp-- Not possible. Maybe in the future. Good manager.

Guardiola-- feck no. You guys know how I feel about tiki- taka.

Simeone-- Does not speak English, That is a big no no in my book. I do not want to see the manager of Man United speaking through an interpreter. Good manager, but you never know how he would handle a job of this magnitude. Would be a risk.

Ancelotti-- He can manage the big stage, but I value the PL title over everything else and he sucks at winning leagues.

IT IS VAN GAAL FOR ME.

He called us the biggest club in the world? We can strongly assume he will be our next manager. "I hope I shall be the one", it is bloody obvious come on ! Who in his right mind would say that unless he was 99% sure he was getting the job?

That interview has made me quite like the fella 2mins o interview with him has more positives than Moyes interviews in his entire reign.

The media must be shitting themselves if he gets the job.

"You take the man united game"
"No, you"
"It's your turn"
"Please don't make me face him again"

Van Gaal in 2 minutes > 10 months of Moyes' cluelessness

You could tell in his first press conference that Moyes had no business being our manager, He had a deer in the headlights look and you could sense that Vidic was not thrilled sitting next to him.

van Gaal must surely be classified as a diva as well? But I get you, he is hopefully our diva.:drool:

He is a very dominating figure. He strikes me as someone who will demand respect rom the players and will do his best to get rid of ones he feels are either not good enough or not hard working enough. And unlike moyes he has the cv to back up his decisions.

Ancelotti-- He can manage the big stage, but I value the PL title over everything else and he sucks at winning leagues.
Wait Ancelotti sucks at winning leagues? He has won every where he has gone barring Spain and Im confident he will win the league with Madrid in the next year or two. He started in Italy and he won there, he came to England he won here as well, he went to France and he won there as well (albeit it wasn't exactly a strong league).

3 league titles(One was for PSG against no competition) in nearly 20 years of management. He has managed top clubs since taking over Parma at 96, so he has a horrendous return in terms of league titles. His Milan team which won the CL was packed with star-players and he really should have performed much better in the league.

I'd be a tad annoyed if I was Dutch because I don't see how he can focus properly on the WC if he's planning his future with United and will be on the phone with Ed 5 times a day discussing business.

LVG is just what we need. Someone to come in and completely own the place from the off.

"Excuse me, excuse me, man with big balls is here!"

Dutch Sir Alex it is? Least in the way he handles the media. :)

Well Sir Alex tends to draw the line at manhandling however Louis van Gaal wasn't too happy with some journalists so he had them all kicked out of their hotel and onto the street with their suitcases late at night. They then had no choice but spend the night finding a new hotel with a few spare rooms.

Does he get into rumbles with opposition managers? Mourinho is safe because they are close friends, but I wonder if he'll get into it with the others?

Louis and Jose will double team Wenger.

Wenger tells the world Jose has fear of failure. Jose reminds the world how Wenger is specialist in failure. Wenger replies with how giving stupid people success makes them more stupid. And before Jose can get his response in, Louis van Gaal has made a dig about how Wenger is so stupid he thinks the fourth place cup is the premier league championship.

Hope he works as tough as he talks.. Empty bravado is meaningless for us.. Obviously he has proven himself over the years. I just hope that he succeeds with us as well.. And hope the players respond positively to his methods, an awful lot depends on their application of effort!

Wait Milan only won once under him? I didn't know that. I take it back.

Him and mourinho may be friends but they never managed in the same league before. They will definitely clash at some stage. And whoever between them wins the league will have been said to have won the mind game.

The "stupid question" answer shows me that he is more than capable of taking the job. Moyes was always appearing so overawed and impressed with where he was. LvG just seems like he is not going to take any nonsense from anyone.

I really wonder what the Dutch people think about Van Gaal. I have seen quite a bit of hate towards him from Dutch people on the internet. Even one of the comments on that youtube video of his interview is from a Dutch guy who says that we should not return Van Gaal to them!

They have clashed in the CL final. And afterwards were both like kittens...

I would not expect too much from that clash.

Van Persie and Strootman like him, that is good enough for me.

Now that you mention it, prior to that final I remember they both had slight digs at eachother. Van gaal said his team play better football and it is harder to do what they do and I think jose dropped one of his favourite reminders that he has more trophies than everyone by saying that he won more than van gaal in less time. The clash didn't really escalate though and it was treated as a friendly rivalry as far as I remember.

An Australian newspaper showed a wrong picture of van gaal. Are you sure you are going for the right one?

Yeah. I've been repeating it a bit lately since the Ancelotti hype went through the roof, but so far in his career he is a cup manager in the mould of Benitez. He has time to improve his ability to handle leagues though as he isn't retiring anytime soon.

True. For a manager with such a big reputation and of his quality, it is a poor record. Although he was in Italy during the time of the scandal.

Well, it's true he only won one Scudetto, but it is very unfair to judge him on that and not take 'Calciopoli' into account. Before Calciopoli it was looking good and during/after he still made two finals. And him winning the league with PSG and Chelsea proves there's no reason to qualify him as merely a cup manager.

Look at his performances with AC Milan

2001-2002: In his first year he took over during the season from Fatih Terim.
2002-2003: First full season finish 3th and wins Champions League.
2003-2004: Second full season win the league.
2004-2005: Calciopoli with Juve. Champions League Final vs. Liverpool.
2005-2006: Calciopoli 30 point deduction for Milan
2006-2007: Calciopoli 8 point deduction in league. Wins Champions League.
2007-2008: Recovering from Calciopoli, money problems finishing 5th
2009-2009: Recovering finishing 3th.

So he was looking good until the Italian Mafia tendencies took over the league. Very hard to judge 5 of his full 7 years in charge because of that. Calciopoli had a huge impact and Berlusconi's power and money fading/strange times make it hard to judge his Serie-A performances.
