Zinedine Zidane | Resigns

It will be interesting to see what happens with a few players now:

Benzema - if he is not in prison will they keep him?
Ronaldo - time to move him on for loads of cash to PSG?
Bale - not sure how ZZ rates him
Rodriguez / Isco - can he find a way to make both work in the team or does he sell one
Modric / Kroos - again will he play both of them or will he get a more defensive midfielder and stick with one of them
Carvajal / Danillo - two very good right backs but can he keep both?
Odegaard - Not exactly been a raging success for ZZ in the castilla team so will he loan him out or move him on?

I loved watching ZZ play and was lucky enough to see him live on a number of occasions and perhaps his brilliance as a player is blinding me to what some others see but I really wish him luck - its potentially a team that has a number of changes / decisions to make and whilst all transition periods are difficult it could be the opportunity for him to put his own managerial mark on the squad and build something special... if we were to get any of the players I have mentioned out of it as well then all the better
 
I won't be surprised if he's gone come next season thus I don't think he'll be reason for any moves out in either this or the upcoming transfer windows.

Yes, I was a huge fan of him when playing for the national team, absolute French legend but didn't care much for what he did in foreign clubs (I like what he did at Bordeaux though).
And he seems a decent guy.

However him chosing to live in Madrid and represent Real after his career and taking the Marseille side in the OM-PSG rivalry leaves me indifferent about the rest of his career until he manages the French team (or PSG or OM who knows).

Everything I've heard points to the contrary. A few incidents in nightclubs when he was still a player being pretty much horrible to customers and staff, his behaviour on the pitch, my wife's aunt being neighbors with him for a few years in Madrid and confirming he wasn't a very nice person (Raul though was apparently delightful)... But he has a very good team around him that controls his image/brand, and he is very polished in the public's perception.

No Sir. I'm sure he won't type that nonsense if the press didn't shove LVG stat down out throat this season. It's an irrelevant stat in that context.
 
I hope he does well. Absolutely loved him as a player.
 
When's the next Clasico? He'll get sacked when they get demolished in the Camp Nou.
