Eng/Norway could be a tasty game. Graham-Hansen is exciting to watch but the English gals are decent up front too.
Looking forward to that.
Looking forward to that.
Where did I conclude that Cameroon were hard done by? On the contrary, I’ve been insisting that I believe every call today was correct. It's impressive you can watch that match where Cameroon players were spitting and elbowing and stamping and pushing the ref and walking off in protest at a correct decision.
And come to the conclusion Cameroon will feel hard done by.
It's remarkable.
All of those things happens in the mens game as well, probably every week besides the walking off, why are you losing your head and holding the womens game to a different standard?Yeah this isn't cricket, it's totally ok to put in potential career ending challenges, threaten to walk off when correct decisions are made, and then scream in players faces for being down when they're injured.
They acted like absolute fecking clowns and brought the game in to disrepute.
Big time. I hope they are disciplined but I feel because it's an African team, nothing will be doneYeah this isn't cricket, it's totally ok to put in potential career ending challenges, threaten to walk off when correct decisions are made, and then scream in players faces for being down when they're injured.

Trust me, I’m not moaning today. I’m just explaining what I think I can understand from the strange behaviour from our ladies. The truth is that I don’t recognise them today at all. I have never seen them like this. They totally lost their heads.@Fanatic 00237 you need to take off your rose tinted goggles for your team. You guys got the decisions today, should have had 2 reds, a penalty against you and you're still moaning about the great anti Cameroon conspiracy ffs.
I think on the second goals the Cameroon players might have actually thought Parris was offside, which if true would be a shocking lack of understanding of the rules.

There was a booking for the elbow.
The spitting wasn’t intentional. (I promise you, it wasn’t)
I think the dissent was allowed to prevent the match from spiralling out of control.
The think the ref was OK. She did her best to keep most of the post-match discussion more about the players’ poor conduct than about her.
Feck though, the men wouldn't have hesitated in sending off the player for the challenge on WhiteEvery WC (men’s included) there are complaints about the refs. It’s what happens when you have inexperienced refs being assigned by FIFA.

And a non acceptance of the VAR which has been clear from the outset. How could they dispute in such a hysterical way, sat on the bench
No excuse, they played pretty much the same girls in the Olympic games in 2012. They tried to kick team GB off the park thenI'm not upto scratch with women's football. Are they and a young and inexperienced bunch?
Where did I conclude that Cameroon were hard done by? On the contrary, I’ve been insisting that I believe every call today was correct.
Also, I’ve already pointed out in this thread that the elbow was booked and (I’m pretty certain) the spitting was unintentional. I don’t know about the stamping (hard to defend it) but they recollected and didn’t walk off so that didn’t happen.
Again, no, Cameroon were NOT hard done by. Not at all.
I haven't seen a single men's game in which complaints were taken to the level they were today ffs. How many men's games are you watching where players are threatening to walk off because a decision (correctly) went against them? They were screaming and acting like kids, there's a reason a fecking official had to give them a talking to at HT but then they decided to act even more like a bunch of kids in the second.
Yeah, I've lost my head for actually addressing their behaviour but the Cameroon team were just showing passion according to you. Fantastic stuff.
I’m not moaning about 1990. I’m explaining the perceived notion in Cameroon that FIFA has it against us at each and every tournament in which we participate. That was just one example, but we name one (right or wrong) for each WC we have played in.Come back when you've been eliminated from a world cup on yellow cards.
Certainly in 1990 Lineker went down easily for one of the penalties but come on that's like England moaning about Hand of God if they get a bad decision in this WC.

Come on mate, It's because they were playing England, no more needs to be addedTrust me, I’m not moaning today. How though? There's been no wrong decisions against you today!
I can see the players being annoyed in the heat of the moment when they didn't know that the ref was right but afterwards? They'll surely be a be embarrassed when they see the replays.
No, it doesn't. I thought you were going to provide an example of blatant bias but instead you describe what happens in almost every single game. Borderline decisions go for and against teams, referees interpret red cards as yellow and vice versa. It's disgraceful behaviour and there's no justification for it whatsoever.
You're not making any sense though.
What do you mean today feeds into that perception? The ref getting all the decisions correct?
You're just making excuses for the Cameroon players acting so stupidly.
You sound English there, bro.![]()
Like I said, every WC. Go back and look at a few contentious decisions, all pre VAR too. There’s a goldmine of crapiness.Feck though, the men wouldn't have hesitated in sending off the player for the challenge on White
Hahahaha I have no idea how you manage it! I’m totally exhausted trying to respond to everyone.@Fanatic 00237
You now know what it's like for me on here every single time Chelsea play Man United.
Welcome to the club!
Possibly. A history of injustices combined with emotion has a tendency to overcloud such things, for most human beings. I think most educated people know this occurs.
Unlike the inaptly dubbed Fanatic, you seem to confuse the descriptive with the normative. You get an explanation of things factoring into the situation you don’t understand, but you are too hung up on the moral question (‘do you condemn this or not?’). He explicitly wrote that it was no excuse and that the calls were correct, and you clearly don’t understand the historical context. You confuse understanding with condoning.
You are hard of understanding how humans work, and hard of reading. It’s not an excuse, he wrote. Oh, and I doubt that you are the real Djemba-Djemba.
Too true, but more subdued.

All this pearl-clutching by the English over the behavior of the Cameroon ladies is beyond hilarious.
There are no more boorish fans on the planet than the English. There's a reason why everyone hates you. (And, no, it's not jealousy as you lot haven't won anything since the Pleistocene.)

One of them pushed the ref.One of them will do a two footer on the referee.

Actually no, they are not. Which is why, now that it’s over and done with, I think it was all a bit disgraceful. Many of them are playing their second WWC and have been AFCON regulars. Most play in minor European leagues. I think it was very unprofessional by those who should have known better. I just think they were a bit overwhelmed by the stage and got too emotional.I'm not upto scratch with women's football. Are they and a young and inexperienced bunch?
She was the one who threw a water bottle at a Holland coach the other day and was constantly falling over. What the hell was the Cameroon player yelling at the England player who was on the floor after that horror tackle. She needs to rewatch that rake down the ankle and foot a hundred times and maybe ask her teammate do the same thing on her and then she might understand?
Thought England played well, passed it around, some good finishing again. Bronze and Parris did really well.

Showed some restraint there. One of them pushed the ref.
Actually it's the Americans everyone hates.
People can hate more than one country.
